Question about Kenmore Dryers
There is a switch connected to the main motor called a centrifugal switch, it will activate when the motor is full speed and keeps the motor running as well as tell the heat to start. I would suspect that switch has gone bad, but it can be checked with the proper electrical test equipment.
Depending on your specific model the motor runs between $130 and $180 plus labor to install one.
