I received a freebee ipod with my phone hook up, but can't get it to work. its 512 mb. it lights up, has songs on it, but I can't hear anything playing. If I plug it in to my pc, and open it up, all the songs on it play for me. I don't know what else to do.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER. Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

I HAVE A 1200 MODEL MICRO 512 MB CARD AND mp3 SONGS LOADED IN IT.I WANTED TO DELETE SOME OF THE SONGS FROM THE MICRO SDCARD ,,BUT I COULD NOT DELETE THE SONGS .PLEASE GIVE THE PROCEDURE TO DELETE THE UNWANTED SONGS..
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
When you reset iPod all your music and files are saved, but some customized settings may be lost. Date and time is preserved (unless the iPod reset itself because it had no power and then was reconnected to power). Other customized settings, such as Bookmarks, On-The-Go Playlists, Shuffle, Backlight timer, and so forth are preserved from the last time
I would suggest u to remove ur memory card and receive a similar file on the phone memory…try to play it…if this happens then the problem Is there with the memory card…it may b a virus problem…format ur memory card…take backup of ur important data in the memory card and format it...
