You have used the TRansfrm application. It remains in memory and takes over the graphing responsibilities from the native OS. You must kick it out of RAM (No, that will not delete it from the calculator).

  1. Press [APPS]
  2. Scroll along the list of APPS
  3. Find TRansfrm and point to it.
  4. Press [ENTER]
  5. Select the Uninstall option.
  6. Open the [Y=] function editor and type in the functions (up to 10)
  7. Press Graph.

Every time i try to graph a function "undefined variable" pops up on the screen and then i can't get anywhere after that

Do you have a function somewhere (not necessarily y1) that is attempting to graph. You can check this by going into the Var-Link menu (2nd MINUS) and searching for a function variable. If that doesn't work check the function you're trying to graph and see if it has a variable in it that is supposed to be a multiplication (xy instead of x*y) or if somehow the variable you meant to use got deleted

How do I get more than one graph to graph? The calculator is stopping me from turning more than one graph on.

After entering the first function to graph press the down arrow and when the cursor blinks after Y2 type in the second function you wish to graph. After you finished entering multiple functions make sure the graph setting under the window button are set correctly so every function will be visible at the interval you set. After that you hit Graph and you should see your graphs being plotted.

I hope it helps.

I have a problem with my GR. If i insert 2 formules to plot them, he won't be able to plot them bought. he can draw 1 at the time.

More than likely there is the application "Transfrm" on the calculator that is preventing you from graphing both functions at the same time. To fix this:

1. Press [APPS]
2. Scroll down to "Transfrm" (near the bottom of the list)
3. Press [ENTER]
4. Highlight "Uninstall"
5. Press [ENTER]

You should now be able to graph multiple functions at once :-)

My calculator wont graph more than one function at a time, how can i fix that?

Hi Lexy,
Chances are, your calculator has a program called "Transfrm" on it that is preventing the calculator from graphing more than one function at a time. Luckily this is easily remedied.

1) Turn calculator on and press the "APPS" key.
2) Scroll down (towards the bottom of the list) and find the "Transfrm" program.
3) With the program highlighted, press the "Enter" key.
4) Highlight the "Uninstall" option and press "Enter".

Once the program is uninstalled, the graphing function of the calculator should be working correctly, allowing you to graph more than one function at a time.

Hope this helps :-)

When graphing the calculator only allows me to graph on function. When typing in a new function the first function that was highlighted became unhighlighted and only the new function is highlighted now.

If you ran the dynamic graphing application called Transfrm you will only see one graph. It takes over the graphing from the native OS.
You will recognize it by the graph style at the left of the Y1=, etc. as in picture
As you can see, only one = is highlighted, meaning only Y1 will be drawn. To recover the native Y= screen, you must unload the Transfrm App from memory.

Here is how to do it.
Exit what you are doing and go to main calculator screen.
Press the Apps button.
Scroll down to find the Transfrm App
Highlight the : before the name and press ENTER.
The screen appears as on the second screen capture above
Press 1:Uninstall
This will unload it from memory and you will be able to draw multiples graphs.

There is the possibility that the failure to draw multiple graph has nothing to do with Transfrm. In that case it is most likely due to the Stat Plots being turned ON. Turn them OFF

Press [2nd][Y=] (STAT PLOT)
Select [4:PlotsOff] and press [ENTER]

I can't graph more than one equation in the y= area of my Ti 84+

The marking that so puzzle you define the type of line (or dots) to represent the graphs. Enter as many functions as there are Y variables.
After entering a function press [ENTER] to jump to the next one.
When finished entering all functions press GRAPH. If you want graphs drawn one after the other, in MODE highlight Sequential (6th line) and press ENTER. If you want graphs drawn simultaneously, in MODE (6th line) highlight Simul and press ENTER. Press 2ND QUIT to return to previous screen . Execute graph again.
Hope itr helps.

Hi, you can try uninstalling the transformation app in your calculator. This does not really uninstall your application, it only prevents it from interfering with it. You should be able to graph multiple functions after that.

1) Go to APPS
2) Press Transfrm
3) Click Uninstall

Can't select multiple equations to graph at the same time.

On the TI-84 there is an application called Transfrm. When active it prevents you from graphing multiple functions at the same time. To fix this, select Transfrm fom the APPS menu (it was at the bottom of mine) and select 1:Uninstall. That should fix the issue
