Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV350 Digital Camcorder
You will have to connect the AV cables from the camera to the inputs of the vcr, switch the vcr to tune in to that port and then press records on the vcr ( assmuming I understood you correctly).

On the power switch. Does it say camera/ player or Camera vtr. If it says player you can not record in vcr as you put it. In the earily days when camcorders were $800 and over ,they all Recorded from line in in the vtr mode. Not any more . See you you can switch to line in mode in the vtr postion however.
