Hoover Windtunnel not picking up as well

Hoover windtunnel doesnt seem as low to the ground, is there an adjustment or the brushes worn out? I also just chaged the belts but didnt change the brushes.

My entire house is either bare floors or high grade commercial grade office carpet. Even on the lowest setting, the brushes don't "deep clean" and there is barely any drag on the brushes on the forward or backward stroke. I've tried a new belt and am considering a new roller, but the original has less than 10 hours on it. I have measures the bristles and all seems good, but it acts like the height adjustment simply won't allow the head to go low enough. As long as I have good suction, it does s good job on area rugs because the suction pulls the rug up against the head. Otherwise I'm just using a glorified vacuum cleaner that only picks up surface dirt. Any suggestions?

I have a new belt and need to change it. I have the cover over the brush off, but don't see how to get at the other end of the belt.

There is a height adjustment on these vacuums and they are set to adjust in the "handle up" position". It will appear that the adjustment is doing nothing when the handle is up, but the setting will take affect when the handle is lowered.
You can check the brush length with a pen or pencil. Turn the machine over so that the brush is visible and run the pen or pencil flat across the bottom plate. Any where the brush is extending outward, your pencil should contact the bristle. If not, then the agitator should be replaced.
Also, check to make sure that the agitator is rotating freely and that the filters and bag are allowing for adequate suction. The machine will only pick up if the air flow is sufficient.

The belt that drives the brush roll has broken. That's why it doesn't pick up and why it doesn't pull itself forwards. Check the User Manual (download from Hoover website if necessary) for information on replacing the belt. Good luck!

The windtunnel vacuum has suction but does not pick up the dirt. I'm puzzled as to what might be the problem. Help!

The problem is that the belts are stretched and worn and slip instead of turn the brush when it is put against the resistance of the carpet. You simply need to replace the belts. Here are the (2) belts you need and the manual with instructions:

It seems when i am vacuuming it is very hard it move and the brushes does not rotate after the rug strings got into it.

Your belt is stretched or worn and therefore cannot turn against the resistance of the carpet. If you replace the belt it will fix the problem. You can get the belt you need here:

No suction on Windtunnel 6630-900. All belts work, brush turns, it just won't pick up anything.
