Question about Acer Extensa 5620 Notebook PC
I am facing the same problem. A guy old me that there is an IC on MB that is responsible to power the inverter board...but he asked for 50 pounds for its repair. I am searching for that IC and till that, I am using an external monitor.

If you have tested your screen, then the problem is most likely the LCD inverter assembly. It is usually mounted near the bottom of the LCD, is a tiny circuit board, approx 1/2" wide by 4" long. it is what powers up the backlight on the LCD, and they don;'t cost too much, maybe $15...Hope this fixes it!
