Question about Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI1 Notebook
As soon as my computer boots up I get the following that continues to rewrite itself. This started when I was copying document folders to a thumbdrive to move the info to another computer. A blue screen originally come up but the black screen come up with the info within a minute of the blue screen. ANY info? The info on the black screen that repeats itself; First line reads "For Realtec RTL8111B/8168B Gigabit Ethernet Controller v2.02 (060301)" Second line reads "PXE-E61 : Media Test Failure, check cable" Third line reads "PXE-M0F : Exiting PXE ROM".
That sort of message comes up when your computer is unable to boot to the hard drive. Those messages basically mean that it is trying to boot from a network, (which it isn't hooked upt to). Your hard drive could have failed, or your boot sequence could have been inadvertently changed too.
First, make sure your thumb drive is not installed in the laptop, as this can cause the problem too.
You can check your boot sequence by rebooting your computer, and entering the BIOS, usually by hitting F1 or F2 on start up. Tab over to the Boot section, and see what the boot order is: Usually it should be: CDROM drive, Then Hard drive, then removeable drives.
If this is ok, check and make sure that your hard drive is showing up in the BIOS on the main page too.
If not, it might be bad....
Hope this helps!
