Question about Toshiba DKT2010H Phone

1 Answer

How do I page all the phones on our system (which are all DKT2910F-H. The manual says to press 'extension' followed by #30, but I don't have an 'extension' button. I can page an individual phone, but not the entire group. Thanks

Thanks very much for your response :o). I only have Msg, Mic, Spkr (which is the button on the bottom left), Cnf/Trn, Redial and Hold plus Volume up and down buttons. If I press speaker if obviously gives me a dial tone so if I press #30, I get an error. The instructions in the manual don't seem to match what I have on my phone and it's definitely a DKT2010F-H as there's a label on the bottom of the phone.

    Thanks again. Tracy

The extension (intercom) button is the first button on the bottom. Depending on the type of processor you have,#30 should do it.

The intercom would be the first one on the long row on the right. Sounds like your doing it correctly but you could be working with a book thats different from your system. Dk 2000 series sets can be used with a lot of different types processors. The best way to figure out what kind of system you have is to go to the telephone closet and see whats printed on the upper right corner of the phone system (DK 280, DK 424, DK16, etc.).

On a Dk 16, press intercom and 30(no # for this type of system).

I have lost my manual and I don't know how to retrieve my messages from another phone when I'm away from home.

Which model of Uniden phone do you have? Do you remember the PIN that you have programmed into the phone? (If the PIN is not set, you can't access the answering system remotely. The Uniden phones that I know don't have a default PIN.)

For the DCT648, to access the messages remotely, dial your phone number and wait for the system to answer. Press 0 followed by your 2 digit PIN (within 2 seconds of pressing zero) while the greeting is playing. To play back all of the messages, press 0 2. If the unit is off, then you need to press 0 followed by your PIN (within 2 seconds) after 10 rings and the beep. Press 0 6 to turn on the unit.

Other Uniden phones use a 4 digit PIN. On the DECT1080, when the greeting plays, press * followed by the PIN. Then press 01 to play back the messages.

Uniden phone manuals are available at the product page (start at http://www.uniden.com and search for your phone) or from the Support page ( http://www.uniden.com/scat/cordlessphones_mnl ) . On the support page, you will need to use the drop down menu to change the type of phone (if you have a DECT phone) and then search through the pages. The manuals are listed in numerical and alphabetical order. One manual will cover several phones if the phone supports multiple handsets. So ignore the number after the dash if you can't find your exact manual.

If you add a comment with your phone's model number, I'll be glad to check the specifics for accessing the answering system for you.

I hope this helps.

How to page

You will need the page codes if you use the feature to page select groups. One softkey will have PGE written above it when the phone is in a mode that can page. This is the Page key (the second softkey on most of the phones in the group).

To make a page announcement to phones or external speakers: Lift the handset, press the extension and then enter a paging access code.

To make a group page, Press Group Page and then the group code or press extension + #31 and the zone number .

To make an All Call Page

1. With the handset off-hook, press All Call Page
...or dial #30. This pages all telephones in the All Call Page Group but, depending
on system programming, you may or may not page external speakers.
2. Make your announcement then hang up.

To make an Emergency Page

1. To make an Emergency Page, lift the handset off-hook, dial #37.
2. To make an Emergency Page to a group, lift the handset off-hook, dial #38 and
enter the Group number.

The manuals for all Toshiba phones
are here: http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/Telephone_Systems_Resources/User_Guides/ . The DKT3010SD is part of the IPT2000/3000 series phones; the direct URL for the manual is http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/Telephone_Systems_Resources/User_Guides/pdf/_new/Strata_CIX_Strata_CTX_User_Guide_IPT2000_and_IPT3000_Series_Telephones.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Using intercom on Lucent partner phones

A Partner is a pretty simple system and the phones are probably all in a single calling group. Your extensions are numbered from 10 to whatever, so at the least you can grab a phone, press the intercom button and dial 0 or 10. It will ring the main phone.

From there, you can start dialing 11,12,13 etc and build your directory. IIRC pressing * in front of the number turns it into a handsfree call. Now, here's where you get to see what kind of installation you have :-) Press intercom and dial *71. With luck, every idle phone will have paging. (71 will ring every phone btw).
This does require programming and an extension can be either in or out of a group.

I do have a basic Partner ACS manual on my website. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Partner_ACS.pdf

The display phone users manual in in the document. Page 179 starts chapter 6, a 30 page guide to the phones.
