The remote for my TV: DX-R24TV has some how become messed up. The only buttons that work now are 1, 2 and volume. Zero turns the TV on and off. 7 and 4 control the volume. 3 shows channel 9 but the TV is hooked to DirecTv and we cannot get it on channel 3 in order to access DirecTv. There is nothing but snow and even the menu button doesn't work. Help! PS I've also tried new batteries. Nothing works.

Panasonic 32 inch LCD TV reset

Here's a possible solution. I have a TC32LX7 and forgot my password. I tried the service mode access method for my 27" Toshiba SDTV. It worked. Remember, the entire set is put
back to the factory settings. All you do is:

1> Turn on the set.
2> Turn the volume level to zero.
3> Press and hold the "Down Volume" button on the TV.
(Do not release the button)
4> Wait 1 sec
5> Press and hold the Menu button on the Remote Control
(Make sure the remote is pointing at the TV's sensor)
6> Keep holding both buttons until the TV goes into System
Check mode. (When it does, Release the buttons)
7> If it works:
a) A message should popup telling you the system is
being checked, do not power off ...
b) Then that message will go away and the screen will
simple have some result codes showing.
8> If something like step 7 happened, Press and hold the
"Power" button on the TV until it shuts off. When you
turn it on again it will think it is the first power up.
(bang no passcode) - The End - Stop Reading.

9> If step 7 did not happen, try steps 1-6 again.

10> If step 9 did not work...Oh well then I guess the
software reset method was changed.

Hum in sound volume

It could be a few things. The first thing you want to look at is make sure that the microphone is muted in the mixer controls of your audio cards. These settings are located in the control panel. If you need the mic, look under the advanced settings under it and disable the 20 db option for it.

If that doesn't work I have a few other ideas.

I'm experencings a buzzing noise coming from the speaker when I turn on the tv....How can I get rid of this noise?

Give this a shot, it should fix the hum issue:

1. Turn tv on
2. Input mode should be tv
3. Turn volume to zero
4. With remote enter 9 8 7 6
5. A menu will appear on left side
6. Arrow down to backlight and with right arrow key move number from 81 to 83, press menu button twice,
7. Turn up volume and listen if hum is gone.

Let me know if this works.

Menu Trouble

perhaps the volume down button on the TV is stuck. It could be either physically stuck, or the electronic logic could be messed up. Just to rule out a problem with the remote, take the batteries out of it and then adjust the volume at the TV and see what happens.
