To fix PS Board parts.

Faulty parts on PS board , bad press for Samsung.

When checking the capacitors, If they are slightly rounded on the top where the X is, the cap is defective.

Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power
LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this
would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board
parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors,
three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on
initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of
problems with these caps on
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off ,
I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v.
They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now.
Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between
$100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or
getting the unit serviced. If you are not comfortable
replacing components which means using a soldering iron, you
can replace the power circuit board, available from
www.Samsung.PartStore.com.

SOURCE: My Samsung T5271F is taking

You have failing capacitors on the power supply board. This is a very common issue with these and others. If you know how to test capacitors and solder its not that tough to repair. Or you can just replace the power supply board which is part number BN44-00184A and runs around $100. You can purchase the board at many places on line. Just do a search in Google with the part number,,,,Good luck

My COby tv wont turn on.

I unplugged my TV for 5 minutes after 5 minutes I pressed the Power button on the side of the TV not the power button on remote for a full minute. Plugged the TV back in, pressed the power button and it turned on. Doing this essentially does a reset.

Tv keeps turning itself off and needs to be off for 5 minutes or more before allowing to be turned back on. Once on, there is a audible click and hum for about 2 minutes.

There is likely an overheated capacitor. Most likely in the power supply. It is actually extremely common now days, especially in newer electronics.
First try dusting out inside of tv and all the venting

Wont turn on

Take the back off of the TV and look at the power supply board (middle of the set). One or more electrolitic capacitors will have the tops swelled up. Replace them with the same value parts and you will be OK.

Zenith 27inch B28A11Z keeps powering itself off

Hi Pswglaw,

From the way you describe the problem, it seems you have a high voltage leak. To check this, make the room dark and look into the back of the TV while turning it on. If you see something like lighting jumping around you have this high voltage problem. The TV will eventually destroy itself under this condition. I would suggest not using it until you get it repaired. The repair cost will be much lower if the TV is still working when you take it in. The high voltage leak will destroy more parts and cause the TV to stop working. Then it will blow a fuse.

Tv Powers up and immediately back off

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-2. Check for open fuses F9A04 and F9A05 part # 283P144080 on the +24 and -24 volt lines. If the fuses are open the convergence output circuit would be suspect. 2. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB
