When new compatible cartridges were installed prints were incorrect appearing unable to produce the green

Get the cartridges out and shake 'em well to be sure they are well blended..after that insert them back ..and reset the printer ..by shutting it down and restart ..but keep the button pressed for a few seconds on start ..(the power button ...or the start one ..if they are separated.. or the reset one if there is any )..This should reset any strange settings or so... after that make a few printings ..cause sometimes it takes a while until it really blends the colors well...if the green is the color that it seams to be missing than you should check the blue and the yellow..to locate the one that its in issue ..print something with orange ..and if it gets out ok ...this means that the yellow is ok ...after that something with purple ..to see if the blue is mixing itself ok ..with he red..if all is well..see thet is not a printer issue but just a setting (try to reset again ) or a computer one..(the actual color is not read well) But I think it does this just cause the units are new..and after shaking them and reset the printer they will be ok after a few jobs..

Hi. Unplug the printer from its power and try this.1. Pull the cartridges out 2. Remove the print head, and re-install making sure the metal contacts on the side line up with the ones in the printer. it can appear to be in OK but use a strong light to make sure it is lined up correctly. 3. Re-Install the cartridges and try again.
This can also happen with some compatible cartridges or ones that have been re-filled and re-set too many times. The black cartridge is usually the issue in this case.

c) Press down lightly on the end of the problem cartridge to release it.

d) Slide the cartridge out and inspect it:
* Check the Copper electrical contacts (the Copper Part which touch the Connector inside)
* Clean it with the pirit or wet cotton)
* Check the Nozzles - Clean it with the worm wet cotton
* Wait for 2 to 5 min befour you connect them back
* Clean the contacts in the carriage, inside the product (Printer)
* Reinstall the cartridge.
* Reconnect the product to the electrical outlet.
* Close the product cover.

One of the following messages may appear on your the control panel display

  • Print Cartridge Problem

  • Black or Color Cartridge(s) Failed
  • Color or Right Print Cartridge is not intended for use in this printer

Step one: Remove and inspect the cartridge
Step two: Make sure the cartridge is compatible
Step three: Clean the cartridge contacts

1. Open the printer lid and wait until the carriage stops moving, and then unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the cartridge and place it on a piece of paper with the nozzle plate facing up.
NOTE: If you are removing a tri-color, photo, or gray photo print cartridge, try to clean the contacts quickly enough that the cartridge is not outside of the printer for more than 30 minutes. The ink can dry and clog the nozzles if the cartridge is outside of the printer for too long.
3. Dip a clean cotton swab in distilled water, and then squeeze it to remove most of the moisture.
4. Clean the print cartridge contacts. Do not touch the nozzles.
5. Clean the contacts inside the carriage, inside the printer.
6. Either let the cartridge sit for ten minutes to allow the cleaned area to dry, or use a new swab to dry it.
7. Reinstall the cartridge, plug in the power cord, close the printer cover, and then try again to print.
Step four: Reset the printer
Step five: Replace the cartridge
Step six: Print in backup mode
Step seven: Service the product

I used calidad compatible ink cartridges, but a sign came up saying "the type of print head is incorrect install correct print head". So I went to more expense and replaced these new ink...


Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached. To reattach the cartridge, turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head. Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report. Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

Canon pixma ip1300 initialisation problem


I have a canon ip 1300 produces an error(both LED's are alternately blinking one blink for the green led and 5 blink from the orange led) then it will produce an error 5600.

may i know if the INK that you are using is a HP genuine ink cartridge??if it does clean the copper contacts on the printer and try to check also if the ink cartridge that you are trying to insert is the compatible ink cartrdiges of the PRINTER
