Hi

windows installer is a software to install and maintain software in micorosoft windows .

the best way to uninstall the software from the computer is through revo uninstaller as it uninstall the software completely and delete all the entries from the registry of the computer .
You can download this software from google just you need to type revo uninstaller download as the keyword on the google search bar, select the first option that comes in the list and then try to install that software onto the computer once the software is install then try to delete the windows uninstaller from the computer

while uninstalling this if you get any problem you can get back to me on fixya

I have tried to repair windows 2000 professional on my desktop (Dell Optiplex GX150). I misplaced the original W2000 cd that came with the computer. I tried to repair using a new W2000 pro that I bought....

You can do a full installation, just make sure you set it so it leaves the filesystem intact (no format) so the windows will get reinstalled but all your files are still stored in the computer. I have done that many times on my own computer.

I have a virus that has disabled everything on my computer - how do I get rid of it ? It showed up a few days ago and has locked out my ability to use internet or any program but it connects to a...

Unfortunately, this type of virus is actually a virus that is a result of the company that actually has you going to the website to install the anti-virus software, nice huh?
So, there is really only one 100% foolproof way of eliminating this virus and that is by formatting your Hard Drive and reinstalling windows. Now, if you have extremely valuabe information on that drive that you can't afford to lose, then you can perform a small trick. You can install a new Hard Drive in the #1 position of the Seriel Cable or PCMI Position #1 if an older PC. If you are not familiar with the inside of your PC, you'll need to take your PC to a local PC Repair shop and ask them to install a new Hard Drive and OS and pull the data off the old hard drive and have it copied over to the new Hard Drive. Sometimes this may not be possible, but it can't hurt to try. Then the infected drive can be formatted and you'll have 2 drives in your PC, your old one being just a great back up spare drive.
If you don't have such valuable data on the drive, then the process is much simpler. Just reinstall your Windows OS (Windows 7, Vista, XP) whatever version of Windows Software you have. You will need the original Windows OS installation disk if it is an OEM version of Windows, or go and purchase a Full version of Windows and install from the CD.
When you go to install Windows, you will be asked if you wish to format disk prior to installing, make sure you select yes. Then you drive will be formatted, automatically removing the virus, then reinstalling windows on newly formatted Hard Disk.

Hope that helps

Hi i have an acer laptop lcd screen with windows vista i dont know what i did but i was uninstalling some things on my laptop cuz i was running out of space any idea on how to fix it?

does windows boot?

if not you need to break out the repair disks that came with the computer, they will bring it back to factory state.

if windows boots than you should stick to useing the windows uninstaller to unistall programs. deleting random things may cause an issue with a dynamiclly linked library, even third party DLL's may boot at startup if windows regestry thinks it should be there but it isnt then there will be a boot error that will result in a blue screen on boot.

the fix is to re install the OS, using the original repair disks or by aquiring a windows install disk from a friend.

Hi I cant seem to uninstall my internet explorer 8 I believe it is corrupt an need to remove it asap. Thanx

Short ans, you can't uninstall, without a lot of agro, nice microsoft.

Have you carried out the repair prog. Try downloading another copy and reinstalling, should give you choice to repair?

Go to microsoft website and checkout explorer 8 Forum or enter in search pane uninstall Explorer8. Be prepared to be enlightened?

Alternative save all your important files docs etc, fatal, clean format and reinstall sys.

Have you tried a "Restore to Point"

Audio device shows as corrupted. How can i install a new one?

Right Click on My Computer go to Properties in the Grey box select the Hardware Tab. Click on Device Manager In the Catagory Sound Video and Game Controllers expand the list. Uninstall you sound card. If the drivers are present in the Windows Library then when you reboot you computer it should reinstall your audio controller. If it does not then you will need to reinstall the audio controller from the Disks that came with youe computer. On the off chance that you do not have the disks for your PC you can try to go to the Windows Update site and ther may be a diver there for your PC's audio controll under optional downloads. You will need to pick the Custom Install button rather than the Express Install button on the page.

Below is a site for Windows Updates

Windows xp pro will not boot with new hard drive

Its hard to tell just like this without having the computer in hand to check and test the jumpers and connection and all, but quick like this i think it might be a trojan virus that corrupted the boot sectors of the old hard drive, and when you copied the stuff from the old to the new, the virus followed and infected the boot sectors of the new one too. Try to reformat completely using the original windows install disk, and not the system restore/reinstall disk and reinstall windows after the format with the original windows disk again. If I was right, it should boot up OK with a fresh format and reinstall with the real windows CD, then install a virus scan and a spyware scan and scan and clean the old drive completely 2 or 3 times to be sure theres nothing bad left on it, then try to copy the whole disc, but skip the Windows repertory, the Program Files one too and the Documents and settings one also, cause those 3 are the ones most prone to corrupting a fresh install even if there is not any viruses in them. If it does not boot up OK after formating and reinstalling Windows though and says it's unbootable, then either there is a config error in the BIOS of the laptop, or the IDE controller that drives the disk is defective. If it's the BIOS settings, it's gonna be easy enough just changing the settings and won't cost you too much, and if its the IDE controller... then that's another story cause it's integrated in the motherboard like any other computer, so basically another computer will cost less than a new motherboard for a laptop. So if that is the case and the IDE controller is shot, you can still try to use an external USB drive to run the computer but not all computers support booting from the USB though, so before buying a brand new external drive, check the BIOS first to see if it does support USB booting.

Caught a trojan worm and need to repair or fix my computer but dont have disk to restore to factory settings or to reset it will resetting or restoring to factory settings cure the worm

Malwarebytes will kill the worm. It's the best I've ever worked with, never failed. It's free to download, then download and click run. Update it before you scan your computer. (very simple from the update tab once it's installed)

But to answer your original question, you can format your hard drive from the repair disk, then reinstall windows and you will be worm free. Brand new with none of your old files, but worm free.

I always recommend cleaning instead.
