Question about Cameras
Dear Sir/Madam, I have a vantage vgc 400 security box camera. I wish to connect to my t.v and video. There are 2 long wires coming out of it. One is the co-axial cable and the other looks like mains. It looks as though it should have a plug on it. I just need to connect the one camera and I want to view via the tv and record onto video tape. Could just do with some information on connecting to a t.v. I have a d.v.r. On the camera itself it says 240ac heating. Is there anything else I need,
thanks a lot.

You won't need the VCR, that's only used for a cable box, and since you have one now there is no need. You'll want to connect everything with the better video plugin possible. Composite (red, white, yellow) is the worst, then s-video, then component (red, blue, green), then DVI, then HDMI. That will square your video. Then send all audio signals to the Denon. These cables are usually the red and white cables. OR Plug everything into the Denon to the appropriate input. Then connect the monitor to the video out of the Denon.

http://www.altex.com/product_info.php?products_id=9207 here is a link to a audio / video switch box you need one of these make sure it has several audio video in and at least one audio/video out
hook all you rca cables up to the audio/video in from the cable box, tv, and dvd/vcr combo then out to the surround sound youll also need to get some rca cable splitters for the out so you can run it back to the audio/video in to the tv as well as the surround sound here is alink to what they look like
youll need thre of these of course when hooking it up dont pay attention to the color on these just the ones from the tv and surround sound and thats it your done it will all work if you want it to were you dont have to get up and push a button everytime most of them if you push all the buttons in at one time theyll stay like that

SOURCE: connecting VCR to TV
Oh man dont shoot your stuff instead use your remote and go to your menu and select your input. You tv is looking at your coaxial input but you can select which input you want. 1, 2 front back whatever you need. channell 3 or 4 has nothing to do with connecting up your dvd if you connect and choose the front connection in your menu.
