Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

There are a lot of Christian songs that I really like on itunes, but I don't know how to find them. I don't know the artists names, but when I listen to the songs I will know if it is one of the songs I want. Is there any way to pull up a list of Artists so that I can see if I recognize their names?

I think that this is what you was talking about ...here if you scroll thepage down will find a list on alphabetical order..and when you click on the names will lead you on...until you find even songs with them...
I suggest to save this link by making a book mark on your browser..
Let me know i this is not quite you expected..
I was thinking for a moment that you are after a way directly in itunes..but there are only choices for library ..and for search results there ...so ...if this is what you wanted..see that on the bar you can choose to list by album...artis ..or song ...and if you choose by artist ..and make a search with wide content ..(ex christian music) it will display them by artist ..
In this case I offered you a complete list with all the names that ever recorded in this area...they are even on categories..after gender so to choose only the ones you like the musical gender also...
Have a nice day ..!

by the way ..cause you was so nice ...I will give you a tip for free download...
if you like an artist ...and want an album ..you should try to make a search on this site.http://thepiratebay.org/
just copy the name from the list and enter in this site ...if it is present ..you will find choices for download directly using a torrent client like this little program...its a kinda sharing by streaming..
this is the program you need installed in order to be able to download from that site ..
    http://www.utorrent.com/downloads
or if you have bit torrent will work too..
to work ..install this programm.and whn you fined a torrent file on pirate bay you want..just click on download torrent..and choose (browse ) to open with utorrent..this will start download automatically ..into your my documents folder..

I have a Coby MP620-8G mp3 player. For some reason, I've been getting a whole bunch (at least 15 albums) of my artists thrown into the Unknown Artist category, making it difficult to find songs. In my...

I just had this problem as well. Find one of the files that is showing up on the MP3 player as "Unknown Artist" in your iTunes library. Right click that song/file and click "Get Info". You'll most likely find that the song is an "ACC Audio File" which happens often when you copy CDs or download from the iTunes Store. Close the info window about the song and then you can select the entire album or individual songs from your iTunes playlist that are showing up as "Unknown Artist". Once all the songs that you need are selected, right click again and select "Create MP3 Version". This will create a duplicate, however, so you'll want to go back to the main library in iTunes (or stay there if you are already there) and then remove the original "ACC" versions. You can, if you'd like, keep them on your hard drive, but you really don't need them because MP3 is the standard. From here you can remove those files from the Coby MP3 player and replace them with the new MP3 versions you have created in iTunes.
I hope this helps!

Artist doesn't show up in "Artist"

You need to check the information on your computer.

Right click on the songs that are not showing up under artist and look at the info for them. If they don't have an artist listed, they will not show up on your ipod in the artist tab. You can add the artist name and then sync your ipod and it will update your music information for you.

Downloaded music, shows artist name but no tracks??

It could be the wrong format. I used to play music off my psp. I'm guessing if you use iTunes, and imported a CD, its going to make your songs AAC format, which is also known as MP4. I have posted a link to where you can set the different compression methods. If you are using WMA format, you are using an even less compatible format, and if you import it into iTunes, it will convert it as well. To convert already imported music into iTunes, once you set the preferences to MP3, right click on the song, and click "create MP3 version." after that you may reveal the song in the finder/explorer by right clicking the song, and clicking "show in finder" or "show in explorer"

Email music from itunes.

Click the "attach" button in Mail and browse to the location of the song.
This is usually in your User folder (the little house) in the music folder. Like so:
User name > Music > iTunes > iTunes Music > [artist name] > [album name] > [song title]
Pick the song you want to attach and hit Send.
Several possible "gotchas" though: - Songs you buy from iTunes may be "protected" files. MP3s should be fine. - Some email systems limit the size of file attachments, so your email may not make it.   (Transfer using something like YouSendIt.com instead.)
Hope that helps.
