Whatever you do, don't delete the whole folder - it will permanently mess up your GoGear. Here's what I would do: run a Repair in the Philips Device Manager OR update the firmware on the player if it won't let you do the repair - the reason that I am suggesting this is that it will delete all of the music files off your GoGear so that you can start over from scratch, as a side effect. Once everything is deleted, change the Rip format in Windows Media Player to Mp3 - it will not give you special options like read-only, etc. Then, re-rip the CD's and load the mp3 files onto the GoGear.
once u plug ur usb in there should probably b a popup that will say it can read it, click on that little toolbar and there probably should b a symbol of ur mp3 player click on it and it will show u what is in ur mp3, or if that doesn't work go to my computer and go to either the files and there should be somehting there for ur mp3 player, when u open it up there shuold be all the things that are on ur mp3 olayer right click on the ones u don't want and simply just press delete.
