You don't really need the drivers. Just get a card reader and use it to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop.

I have a canon powershot sx10IS and need the cd rom for my computer. how can i obtain this.

Do you really need the Canon software?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I lost my installation cd for my cannon sx100is camera. wat must i do to install my camera to my computer

Greetings - Your Canon does not need any installation software to connect to your PC. You plug it in, it gets recognized and you can move, copy, delete photos, etc.

If you would like to get the software that came with your camera (for manipulating photos and such) you can get it HERE.

Happy photo snapping and thank you for using Fix Ya.

Canon Powershot A70 Digital

When I got my A70 I got a CD with the software. If I connect the camera with USB cable to the computer, set the little lever on the back for the camera to display whatever pictures are in it, and turn the camera on, the computer recognizes the camera, opens the software and leads me through the process.
If you have some other photo software than the Canon software, it should still work.
