Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
My ps2 silver slim Reads Ps2 and Ps1 discs just fine and it just a few hours ago It was playing fine with no noises whatsoever so I wanted to play again and just now about an hour ago i turned it on and its started to make wierd noises when it was spinning like the cd was getting scratched .
I took it apart to see if there was a problem with the spindle and I couldnt not find an issue. Except when i turn the spindle with my fingers it makes noises and the turning feels a little akward like there are rocks causing friction underneath but there arent any so what gives?
The laser is fine because It reads the discs
but the discs dont touch the anything when it spins but it still makes noises ....do I need to purchase a new disc spindle?
If so how do I replace it ? is there a tutorial I can use online?
