Control pod failure on bose companion speakers , the sound stops

check your wiring connections, sounds like you may have intermittent connection somewhere, and this is the most likely culprit. be certain that all connections are solid. multi pin plugs are notorious for having one bad pin.

Alot of static or interference through speakers

Check all leads are plugged in the right spots and are in good condition. Sometimes "static" is caused by plugs not connecting properly.

I am getting static out of all speakers in my Denon AVR-682 Home Theater system even at low volume. Connections and speakers are all good. Where do I start to look internally for a fix?

Static could mean a few things.

Magnets on or near (tube TV's) the system could disrupt the signal.

Try plugging the speakers in one at a time with music going to the AUX in. Run through all your settings to make sure that nothing is abnormal.

If it's plugged into a powerstrip, try plugging it into your wall outlet.

Sound is working but internal speaker is not working

Connecting headphones to the system will disabled the internal speakers until the headphone jack is disconnected, at which such time the internal speakers should function again.

If you disconnect the headphones and the internal speakers are not re-activated, then there may be damaged to the microswitch in the jack. (Try rebooting after the headphones are disconnected too)

Control pod

Double check the connections, if the connection for the control pod is good then something is wrong inside. I would say most likely thing would be a problem on the power supply inside the subwoofer box.

Sound problems

First, wiggle the input for the speakers around to make the connection is in place. That can sometimes give you a hiss if the signal isnt connecting. If that doesnt work, then check the DVD eye to make sure its working properly. Try to unplug it, then plug it back into the wall in order to fix the issues. If the product is still under warranty contact the manufacturer immediately to discuss this. If not, check to see if the manufacturer has had any recalls on parts or have firmware upgrades. that can sometimes resolve those issues. Good luck, keep us posted!

I can't hear through my internal or external cb speaker

Can you hear static when the squelch is at minimum ?. If you can hear static then tere is nothing wrong with the audio system. If you are sure about the squelch, connect goosd speaker directly to the 2 wires coming from the main board bypassing the speker jack. if there is still no sound then the audio amp chip is defective. The audio amp can only be damaged if the output is shorted for a long period of time.
