Question about Computers & Internet
I have a laptop that I just installed a MiniPCI Wireless 319468-002 HP adapter in. It is an HP Pavillion ze5155 laptop and the part number above is the one I came up with from HP. It activates and works good up until about three or four feet from the router. I also noticed the wireless light in the front of the ze5155 does not come on. Some manuals instruct me to turn on the antenna by pushing the button located under the light in the front but my unit does not have the button. According to the manual the ze5155 that has the button in front uses the HP 319468-001. I believe i bought the right device but cannot get it to fully work. Any suggestions???
OH!!! And I have tried to turn it on in the software to no avail.
Well, your wireless adapter most likely isnt the same brand as the router you are using. I have a simple suggestion. Go to a local reatiler like Office Depot, and buy a wireless notebook card matching the brand of your router. If the problem continues, then simply return the wireless card for a full refund.
