Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

Open Question

Dishwasher interior retains moisture

Just purchased a Bosch SHE4AP d/w - after running, the stainless steel interior remains wet, as well as plastic sprayer arms and silverware basket. STill wet after 24 hours - won't this lead to mold/mildew? Also makes it difficult to empty dishes without getting them wet again!

SOURCE: Dishes not drying and mildew growing in dishwasher

I've been researching Whirlpool issues for awhile now and the solution would appear to be not to ever buy anothere Whirlpool appliance.

Most of the dishwasher they've put out have broken down in one way or another within the first 3 years. Some start fires. Lawsuits, website complaints, calls, letters, NOTHING seems to change their policy as to simply have one of their repair people come out and offer to fix it for nearly the cost of the unit.

This mildew issue is fairly common...ditch it. Get a new one. Avoid Whirlpool. Don't believe me? Try calling them to fix or replace it.

I sincerely hope it works out for you one way or the other.

SOURCE: Dishlex Global Unable to remove heater element retaining screw

I have a simialar problem with the Dishlex 450 Global model, after searching for the heating element on line, I found a picture of the element (450 model), showing that the Stainless Steel screw is actually spot welded to the element bracket, hence you should be able to remove it by accessing a retaining nut from underneath the dishwasher....(turn power off first!)..

SOURCE: mold grows on dishes in bosch dishwasher

Put a bowl filled with 2 cups of clorox on the lower rack and run a wash cycle (nothing else in the machine) this will kill the mold spores in the machine, and clear the smell.

Not sure this is the model but the inside stays wet after dry cycle - all stainless steel inside. WHY? and what should I do?

These units are made by Bosch and they have passive heaters. Use Jet Dry Turbo in your rinse aid compartment and make sure you are there to open the door when the dishwasher ends. If you wait for hours until the dishwasher cools down to open the door, the steam will recondensate and the inside will be wet.

The dishes are pretty wet as is the inside of the dishwasher after a regular run. will a rinse agent fix this?

Rinse aid will help. The Bosch dishwasher uses the captured heat from the water to dry the dishes.turn on your dishwasher ,wait 20 mins and open door .Does steam come out?if yes rinse aid should do trick,if not water is not heating and you probably have a bad e.control (common problem)est repair cost in Boston area $229.. Hope this helps ,please rate my response :)

This is just a suggestion, run a cycle and after a few mins of it washing, open the door and add a cup of bleach and let the washer run. See if this helps.

Odor 2 days after cycle

After you have unloaded the the dishwasher, prop the door open with the upper rack out.
Let the inside air out. After a short time the remaining moisture will evaporate. Stainless steel dishwashers are prone to an odor if you do not use the machine daily. There are after market products that are citrus based that will help. Check with Bosch.

Bosch 3000 dishwasher

Don't. Just attach your hose and the end of the Bosch hose together. Just wind up the Bosch hose and tape it to the back of the machine.
