How do you remove the back of the Kenmore 90 Series Washing Machine? I am troubleshooting the problem that my machine doesn't stop filling and overflows.

Most Kenmore washers are made by Whirlpool. If yours is this page will help http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/Whirlpool-washer-disassembly.html

Note that I cannot know without the full model number but follow that page and if it doesn't seem right your washer may not be Whirlpool made.

My Kenmore Series 90 Washing Machine water will not stop filling during rinse/spin cycle. Why?

This problem is commonly attributed to either a water inlet valve that doesn't shut off, or a pressure switch malfunction. The following links explain how to diagnose the problem and repair as necessary:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3753517-whirlpool_top_load_washer_fills_when_not

If the washer is not overflowing, the likely problem is the water inlet valve. If the washer fills to the point where it overflows, the easiest and most common cause of this problem is the small plastic air hose on the pressure switch coming loose. It can usually be fixed by simply reattaching the hose. However, read through all the information provided and double check everything to make sure.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and have great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites I listed also include helpful exploded view parts diagrams to assist you in locating and properly identifying the parts you need.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Washer water wont stop running and switch to wash. It overflowed

sounds like a bad water valve. Try disconnecting for a few minutes. If problem continues, the solenoid on the water valve is staying open which means the circuit is not opening. Replace valve.

Kenmore 90 series Water pressure turning up and down

it will switch from hot to cold and back and forth trying to regulate the temp. You probrbly have more pressure in your cold water line than your hot or vise versa. This will cause it to seem to pulse. Dave www.washermd.com

Kenmore 70 series washer

if the water was overflowing from the top of the tub it sounds like the pressure hose came loose. tilt the control panel back and you will prob see the hose that connects to the left side (where you adjust the water level) has come loose. cut about 1/4 inch off of it and re-connect it.

Kenmore Series 90 Washer

Aside from complete disassembly & cleaning it, try a hot wash on full with nothing in it except a bunch of bleach.
