Can't hook up my sb 2920x-c6 to my auria eq 5888 tv where audio out jack

can't find that eq 5888 model number but does the tv have a connection labelled as spdif this is a special digital audio out standard by phillips.
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-spdif-connection/2/
I am not sure if this can be plugged into the sb 2920x-c6 digital in socket or if you need a digital amplifier between the two items ?
Someone else on fixya may know if a digital amplifier is needed or a direct connection from tv to sound bar is possible via a spdif cable.

Where do i conect the red and black wires (SPDIF & GND) that come off the nvidia 9500gt graphics card

You only need SPDIF if you are running Digital audio. The GND is the ground for that same connection - This connection is located on your mother board, Labeled SPDIF. Not a needed connection in most cases.

Hope this helps..

Does the LCDVD326A have the ability to attach headphones? If so, where are the connections?

First of all, here's the manual:
http://www.curtisint.com/html/custservice/manuals/CUR_LCDVD326A_EN.PDF

Refer to page 11. Apparently this set only has audio input connections (as analog audio) It does have an audio output but it is digital audio. you can't just plug in speakers or headphones, you need an adapter to convert digital to analog.
If you're a techie and want to know about SPDIF, look here:
Everything You Need to Know About the SPDIF Connection Hardware Secrets

You will need the converter:

Fosmon Digital to Analog Stereo Audio Converter Adapter Changes Digital...

and a cable to connect the adapter to the TV (choose the length you want)

AmazonBasics Digital Optical Audio Toslink Cable 6 Feet 1 8 Meters

they don't make it easy, do they?
Good luck

I plugged in my cable HDMI into my RX - V365 Yamaha reciever. and HDMI into my TV. I get video, but cannot get my attached (to reciever) speakers to play. Help

RX-V365 doesn't support HDMI audio. You need to connect the cable box also via spdif cable for audio to work. Look at the box if it uses optical spdif or coax spdif. If optical, you see that optical input on receiver is named DTV/CATV, so use also DTV HDMI for video. Coax spdif is named DVD, so in this case you will need to use DVD HDMI input.
Also you need to configure the inputs accordingly.

Lg e500 no spdif output

If you open your sound card properties, you have to tell the hardware (soundcard) to use the SPDIF. For some models of Realtek sound cards, it requires and adapter that you plug into the port and offers optical or coaxial. I could not find anything stating that your PC requires it but I dont have the serial number of your PC to find if you have a different version of the soundcard used in your model notebook.

Also, make sure you are using the proper SPDIF cable to your reciever. This is a digital connection so it requires a 3.5mm to standard male coaxial (RCA) cable. If you are using one, then you just need to make sure that your soundcard knows to ouput audio through the SPDIF port.

Hope that offers some help. If you need further assistance, let me know!

Need SPDIF pinouts identified.

When looking at the board, bottom towards you assuming that the 3 pins are parallel to the pci/e slots, the left pin should be the +5V vcc the middle pin is the spdif out and the right pin is the ground. Also the 3 pins are probably not exactly the same distance from each other (equally spaced) the 2 pins that are closest together are the spdif and the ground, spdif is always the middle pin. This info is based on 2 different asus motherboard install guides. I hope this helps you.

Spdif pins

First of all when you got these pictures were they from *********** board? If they were did you wear a wrist bracelet to prevent Electro Static Discharge (ESD)? If not you may have just ruined your computer. But there is a chance you didn't. Next I am not positive but you might need to get a three pin SPDIF connector from Radio Shack. But I would try the one you have. See if it works. But I must warn you going inside your computer if you are not a technician can be very harmful to your computer. So if you take my advice Touch some part of metal on the outside edge so you are grounded to your computer.

P.S. Damage from ESD may not be right away. It can be months from when the computer was shocked. If my advice doesn't work tell me and i will give you much more help.

Hope this Helps.
