How to fix

Here are some things to try:
  • Right click on the wireless icon in your tray and select Repair (Assuming this is Windows)
  • Go to the control panel and make sure that network adapter is enabled.
  • Try rebooting
  • Try turning the laptop off, then back on.
  • Laptops often have a physical switch to turn Wifi on/off. Make sure it is on.
  • Make sure you have your operating system up-to-date, including drivers for the networking, but if it just stopped working, then I doubt that will fix it.
  • You may have a hardware issue

Wireless connectivity

possible reasons that it is "off"

Physical switch on outside of case that has a turn on and turn off function. Make sure this is turned on.

Go to network places and find the connection that says wireless (or something similiar), it should say Enabled, if not then enable it.

Always saying offline

Hopefully you have set up the wireless network, the name of the wireless and any protection that is needed on it.
On the laptop make sure you can see the wireless router on list of wireless points.
Double click on that then type the correct password.
That should be connected to the router and that should be all.

Connecting to wireless network

Not sure what kind of laptop you have, but on some models check to make sure that the actual physical "switch" is turned on. Usually located in the front or side of the laptop. Sometimes there is a little wireless logo located above the keyboard somewhere. And other times its set as a "function" key. If you see a wireless logo on a F-key (say for example F5), press and HOLD the FN key (FN stands for function, usually located on the lower left of the keyboard) and the corresponding F-key. Hope this helps!
