Does my insignia ns-p501q-10a have a usb port?

Looking at the manual for the NS-P501-10Q from the product site, http://www.insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/NS-P501Q-10A.html , the TV has a USB port labeled "Service" on the back above the other input ports and on the left side of the input/output area. Unfortunately, I don't think it will provide enough power for an Amazon Fire stick. It's for updating the firmware on the TV with a data file on a small flash drive.

I'd suggest using an appropriate USB wall charger to power the Fire stick.

I hope this helps.

NS-LDVD32Q-10A buzzing noise

Try another input and another source such as a DVD player. If you still get the buzzing sound, you could have a faulty power supply output or a fault in the audio circuit of the main board.

My insignia plasma tv has the LED light blinking red twice, help?

Hard to find parts sometimes for this brand---I would begin with the power supply by looking first at the filter caps:

I have lines at bottom of tv at frist it was one then two now three

This is not a uncommon issue in Plasma and LCD sets--usually it is either a bad connection at a plug or bad soldering on one of the boards--not usually a customer do it yourself task.

Worst case is the issue is inside the display panel--the screen unit you see the picture on---if there it is fatal as no way to get inside there and cost of panel exceeds replacing the set cost.

Either have a shop look and get an estimate or live with it.

INSIGNia NS-50P650A11 SHOWS RED LIGHT BUT A BLANK SCREEN

That problem is usually have 2 causes..Its either power supply board or main board..

Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:
1. Open the back cover.
2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..
3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..
4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...
5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..
6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..
Hope this solution will be helpful..

Thanks for using fixya...

My insignia ns-l42q-10a just gave out yesterday. When I plug it in no light comes on at all. I already replaced the power board, and it didn't work at first, but then after a couple of days it came on. It...

There are two possibilities here.

The first is that you've had bad power board.
NS-L42Q-10A is known to have issues with the power board.
You can read more here:
http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2011/04/insignia-ns-l42q-10a-ns-l42x-10a-does.html

The second option is that you have a bad main board. This also not unheard of and since you were able to get it to work with another power board it is actually the more likely case.

What I'd do if I were you is try to heat the main board a bit with a dryer to see if it will start up more easily in that case.

Do not overheat it though.

Sometimes it's just bad capacitor that needs time/temperature to work good.

Other times it's bad solder, usually on the main microcontroller, which needs higher temperature which expands the metal until it makes good contact.

Other times it is something else.

I suspect that your supply has gone bad. You will need to find the service manual for voltage measurements. If you want to get replacement boards many can be found on ebay or you can check www.shopjimmy.com they stock boards for many units and I have had no problems.

Dvd player is playing in black and white on new tv. tv is a Insignia NS-P502Q-10

could it be the DVD player is european or simply set to output PAL or SECAM and not NTSC?

About the time plasma and LCD TVs started to replace classic CRTs pretty much all CRT TVs used to be able to handle both PAL/SECAM and NTSC.

Then, whether because of the difference in handling them due to switching to fixed display resolution or because of other considerations, less and less LCD and plasma TVs are handling all encodings.

So an older TV could have actually handled the encoding while a newer one lacks it, thus resulting in B/W image.
