I purchased a used Ask Protima m2+ projector and everything works fine except the color red which appears very dark, close to black. I am using an older ibm thinkpad laptop with Windows 98. I have reset the projector to factory settings and examined all cables and pins. I am using an m1 to dvi computer cable. Any suggestions?
I think that projector used three different LCD panels with red, blue and yellow. You probably have a damaged red LCD panel, and if so, it is not worth getting the projector fixed. Those panels were really expensive back then. I once had that red problem with a projector and it turned out to be a bad connection on one end of the "computer to projector" cable. Borrow one from a friend and see if it solves the problem.
