Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: How to get the printer to read new ink cartilage for printer MFC-

The machine uses an optical reader to tell if the cartridge is full or not, if it is not reading fully cartridge as such then I would try power cycling the machine (unplug it for 30 sec) and see if it reads them then. If not I would call Brother and try to get them to tell you how to do a reset, you can probably find this on the internet somewhere as well.

I did recently install a new ink cartilage and now it won't work. I have a small PC and put it on a larger font so I could read it. I am not able to copy downloads due to this change. I was printing after the cartilage was installed but after the font modification, I attempted to print a download by pressing enter, and now I don't see my lexmark icon on the top of my computer screen.I could not get the whole printing page on my Aspire One so I pressed enter.

When you install a new ink cartridge, it has a strip of tape on the top, you rip this off and install the cartridge. Then go to the printer preferences and in the tools menu there will be an alignment tool

Could you please tell me why my printer is printing each line to close to the line above and how to solve this problem . I have a microline 320 turbo oki 9 pin printer,

could you please tell me why my copier isn't printing the copies dark enough-could it be the ink cartilage or another problem. I don't want to order the cartilage if it is another problem. It is an older copier-PC941

You should take it back and exchange it or read on below.
Most modern cartridges have an ink level chip built on to them.
Should the level drop below 25% then most of these chips lock up and will not reset.
Re-filling them will have no effect
If you are lucky you should be able to find either a chip resetter around on the internet or maybe even local
OR
Even better empty cartridges that never need to be reset.
The second option is my preference
I realise these are not for your specific printer but there are others listed on both those sites as well
