Depending on hardness of your water you will only need 1 teaspoon of soap in dispenser 1 teaspoon for prewash. Your water temp needs to be 140 or more. Run the hot water at the sink till its hot before starting wash. Dont forget to use jet dry....

Drying problems

Hi,
Check the front control panel for a AIR DRY / HEAT DRY switch. Perhaps the switch is in the AIR DRY position. If so and you really want to HEAT DRY your dishes, set the switch for HEAT DRY.
Second, it is not a bad thing to let your dishes AIR DRY. It saves money! Just open the Dish Washer door after the last rinse cycle has finished and let the dishes AIR DRY manually. In a hour or so they can usually be put away.
You can also check for the heating element.Your dishwasher has an electrical heating element that helps to dry the dishes. If the element is burned out, the dishes won't dry properly, and you need to replace the element. Many high-priced dishwashers have a small fan that blows air or heated air into the dishwasher to speed up the drying process. If the fan is defective, you need to replace it.
Thank you!

Doesnt dry dishes

The heater on this unit only comes on twice, once in the wash cycle, and again in the Sanitary rinse. During the drying cycle all that happens is a vent opens and a fan comes on. The fan removes the hot moist air from the unit and the dishes dry off. If your water is not hot enough, this is why your dishes are still wet. Rinse aid also helps to sheen off the excess water as well.

first how old is unit ??? new to you??? a few things to check on your part, for better results run the hot water in your sink b4 you start your d/w. are you using a rinse agent (Rinse Aid) newer machines actually count on this for better drying. is everything soaking wet as if never attempted to dry or are certain items not drying. for example Tupperware, plastics( sippey cups), and some silverware may not ever come dry. newer d/w heat the dish to a certain temp and then rely on the residual heat of the dish to evaporate its own water, and obviously plastics can never be heated to that temp (and certain silverware metal) si the never completely dry. in not saying you dont have a heater issue, but check into these few things first. The heater can be check with a simple continuity test. The heater leads are directly under and behind unit.Sometimes just a visual inspection of heate will deem it bad
