Question about HP Pavilion a1240n (EG136AA) PC Desktop

2 Answers

I've been streaming Netflix to my Vizio P50 HDM with a VGA and analog sound plug to the RGB ports in the TV and there's a loud hum when I turn the volume up on the TV. I've spoken to both Vizio and Netflix and they both are of the opinion that it's because of the 16 pin RGA plug(on a 20 ft cord). Is there another way to maximize my volume and sound quality? Is there a port on my Pavilion a1240n in which I can use an HDMI plug?

If your computer has a DVI port then you can use the HDMI cable in that port. Most modern graphics cards have that option so its worth a shot.

Let me know if you need more help.

For sound no but you can obtain a sound card with this ability and all you need to do is then install it. there is a sound card called the audigy witch goes in a slot into your computer witch will enhance sound output. But as far as how it sits the answer would be no. Also what you can do is purchase a nice 5.1 speaker set for the computer that will enhance the sound already out of it witch uses the standards ti save money on cost of installation and or the actual sound card alone.

Thanks I hope these tips do help if you have any questions please ask, please press the accept button for my efforts.

I have a Vizio TV and would like to add a Chromecast streaming media player, the information I have shows the player powered via the USB IN 1 port, would the RGB PC port work? I have model #GV47L FHDTV

Chromecase is a USB 'stick' type device with a USB interface. The RGB port is a video only port on the TV and not compatible with USB signal levels or the physical plug type.

Can i watch netflix on my KDL-32EX524 UKA bravia tv?

To watch Netflix you need a (Netflix subscription of course) and a Smart TV with the Netflix app running or if you have an older TV you will need a streaming device like Amazon Fire TV http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GDQ0RMG?ref_=ods_gw_d_h1_tv_montoya_dualUR
which plugs into your HDMI port to access Netflix via a wireless internet connection. The setup is pretty easy. Hope this is helpful.

Blue screen that says RGB on my vizio

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in watching programs on the TV. Since the screen says RGB, it appears that you've selected input as RGB(VGA, also known as PC input). If you have nothing connected to PC input (RGB), please change the input to HDMI or component or what ever it is by using the input button on the Remote of the TV.

In some TVs INPUT Button is labeled as TV/Video. Press it repeatedly to change the input from one to next.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

How i am connect Wi Fi or internet to my TV.it is vizio and model number is J V 50 P HD TV 10 A. and Serial number is PHLANCJ2804679. I WANT CONECT WITH INTERNET FOR NETFLIX PLEASE LET ME WHAT CAN I DO.

As I type this, I am using my Vizio 50" plasma. All you need to do is ditch your current monitor you use for your internet service and use the same cord from the monitor to plug it into your RBG port on the back of your tv.
Next for sound there is a 1/4 jack next to the RGB port on your tv. Connect your tv to your audio out on your computer. (headphones or aud out)
Select RGB on your tv, and your good to go. I bought a wireless keyboard and mouse for my computer which makes it more convenient.

I want to connect my Sony Vaio VGN-NR120E to my TV Samsung. But I have no idea how to do that. Could you give me advice ...

Hi,
Your Sony vaio does not have any TV-out port to output the display on any analog TV. You can use your VGA (by using VGA cable) port to output your laptop on LCD / Plasma / LED TV (with a VGA port also)). If you still want to project to analog TV via the VGA port, you need to find a VGA to RGB adaptor. But bare in mind, it's hard to find one.
VGA port is like the port on computer monitor. RBG consist of three colored port.
Good luck ;)

I have a Vizio P50 HDM and while watching it last evening I heard a loud pop and the picture went into a very noisy/distorted condition. Sound is OK. Any ideas?

That loud pop is your Y and Z sustainer. Normally it goes out completly but yours is still half working. Not usally fixable yourself, because you may need to flash the control board f/w , which is proprietary and can't be aquired unless you work for them,

Sounds like a bad power supply. I have a GV42L 42" manufactured in march 2007. It works perfect except the screen has a fracture on it. The warranty is voided because we damaged the screen. I can sell this to somone who has a good screen but needs boards or speakers, etc. Or I will buy your tv that has a good screen but damaged boards in it.

its the capacitor on the power board that pop.they over heat its like a computer power supply if you had no fan to keep it cool..replace the capacitors on the power supply and it should work.if you can think of a way to keep the board cooler it wont happen again.
