Internet Connection drop outs on Belkin ADLS2+ modem router

Hi All,
I've been trying, unsuccessfuly, to connect this moden to the net.
Basically the modem has:
power on
LAN
Phone line and wireless, when trying this way.
But the internet light does not come on.
Computer says i'm connected at 100Mbps, but no internet connection.
I've re-set, re-booted, called Belkin. my isp etc.
Planning to go dump this Modem and go elswhere.
Most annoyingly, I have got internet connection, when I only go to the Belkin home page and try and connect from there.
Comments please.
Note this is the Australian issue modem, F5D7633au4A, but the site wouldn't register, so had to use the UK code.

Try to call your internet service provider. They should most likely resolve your problem. Or, disconnect everything. Plug the cable wire to the back of your modem. Give it 30 seconds. Plug in the ethernet cord from your router to your modem. Plug in the power adapter to your modem and give it 1-2 minutes to start up. Next, Plug the power to your router. Give about 1 minute. Go onto your computer and hit the start menu, go to the control panel. Look for internet connection and click on it. Find you internet connection, right click, and hit properties. Click on TCP/IP. Make sure your settings are on automatic. Then try your internet.

You're better off buying a better, new router (one that includes a "Self Healing" feature that will basically reboot the router automatically on a set schedule). Also, try a different brand, Belkin is infamous for making routers that constantly drop connections.

the modem is working fine. the connection might be dropping from the router side.
You can try to upgrade the Firmware of the router.
reduce the MTU on the router. If it is on 1500 the reduce it to 1400.

Major issues

I had the same problem. My Belkin N1 Router was constantly dropping the WiFi connection (every few minutes). I tried several solutions I found on different forums:

Change the channel selection from Auto to a specific channel -- I tried all 13 channels, but no improvement.

Update the firmware to the latest (Beta) version -- still no improvement.

Finally I enabled "Protected Mode" and the connection seems fine now.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Belkin N1 Router connection drops when phone rings

You may have a phone line connected from the modem to a wall outlet. Count the number of cables coming out of your modem - you should have only three: the power cable (connects to the wall), Cat 5 (also connects to the wall), and ethernet (running from the modem to the router).
