Might the button be stuck a bit? We had this problem and rinsed the brushes out and cleaned the connector area with a damp paper towel. Had to push the button in and out several times to be sure it wasn't sticking. Also, when the hose is docked found it tended to hit the docking station and would spray everywhere! Had to turn around the hose w/ the button so it would stop spraying everywhere. Hope this helps.

Why won't my Bissell pro heat wont suck up water with the upholstery tool

You may have a valve that switches from floor suction to tool suction. This could be not deployed or stuck.

The tools hose on a bissel powerbrush carpet cleaner leaks

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your BISSELL deep cleaner. Your upholstery hose should not leak when used. There is a small o-ring on the end of the hose that may be missing, or if the tool is cracked it could leak. A service center could better help you identify the problem. Will not **** the water off the carpet.

If the carpet cleaner won't "Extract" water from the carpet, try using the upholstery / hand tool. If you have suction there, your selector switch / knob is either in wrong position, or broken. There may also be a tear in the hose on the inside of the cleaner, or the waste tank is not sealing well.

Bissel pro heat cleaner won't expell water -- seems no suction

The reason that it won't expel water is because your pump belt is stretched and worn. You need to replace that belt, it is pretty easy. Here is the belt you need:

I have a bissell pro heat water wont come out

The pump may spin but the vanes inside could be broken or worn enough that they are unable to push water through the pump system. I am repairing a Bissell Model 8920 Pro-Heat 2X that has this very same problem.

I tested all the hoses to verify that they were not plugged. I then hooked the water and cleaner tub from the rear directly to the pump and held it above the pump assembly and water barely went through it with gravity feed and the pump was visibly spinning. The pump assembly can be acquired from AE Carters for $10.00.

I do not give any guarantee that this is the only problem.
