Question about Dell E171FPb 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
We push the power button on the 171FP Flat Panel Display '03 and the green light keeps flashing and the screen stays black. In the manual it said to push any key or move the mouse but that also doesn't work. Do you have any suggestions, or answers?
Common failure in the Dell are shorted transistors or bad caps in the inverter ccircuits, bad solder joints, bad caps in power supply. I would try it on another PC first, if it still does not work, you will have to open it up. Please look through my pictures of failed Dell moniotrs to get some ideas.

Please post back what you find.
