Question about Motion Computing AP42332 LE1600 Notebook

1 Answer

Slide power switch appears to be disconnected from motherboard. Is it a piece that is missing from the slider or could it be something unsprung from the grove or broken off the Motherboard. Return spring is still in place. Any history of this. Thanks, Hank, hr@hankralston.com

I have looked into it and aside for you I have no precedence to call this a common defect I did however look at there site and navigate to the contact info of the people you would want to contact if this problem has reached the point of immediate support I would say its probably just a spring or lose connection due to the general wear and tear but if its got an easy fix im sure they can talk you through it over the phone

MY NOKIA C2220 SLIDER PHONE SAYS ENTER RESTRICTION CODE WHEN I TURN IT ON ANYONE KNOW THE RESTRICTION CODE IT HAD A ROGERS SIM CARD BEFORE AND INM TRYING TO USE A SASKTEL ONE NOW

You can get the restriction code for your Nokia 2220 Slide ( C2220 slide ) from TheUnlockSpot.com by selecting the country & network to which your phone is locked and then provide the IMEI ( press *#06# to know ) when it is asked and get the unlock code through mail.

After you receive the code follow the method below,

1 - Switch on your Nokia 2220 Slide without any sim card.
2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia 2220 Slide.
3 - Compose #pw+CODE+7#.
4 - The Nokia 2220 Slide would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!

The letter p appears if you press the button star(*) three times quickly.
The letter w appears if you press the button star(*) four times quickly.
The symbol + appears if you press the button star(*) two times quickly.

My iphone 3gs shut off and won't turn on... tried rebooting it but saw nothing. How long should I hold the "Home" button and the "Power" button?? If this doesn't work, what should I do??Please help...

If something isn't working right, restarting, force quitting an application, or resetting
iPhone will likely solve the problem.
Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and
hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
If you can't turn off iPhone or if the problem continues, you may need to reset. A reset
should be done only if turning iPhone off and on doesn't resolve the problem.
Force quit an application: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone
for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then press and hold the Home button
until the application quits.
Reset iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the
same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

[Emachine C2684] Systems appears to be getting power, but won't boot.

Track down the motherboard manual, the motherboards of branded machines are usually made for them by PCChips or Foxconn or someone similar.
In the manual identify wich connectors on the motherbaord is the front power switch. Disconnect the front power switch and plug it all abck in again to see what happens with the power switch disconnected.
If you feel brave enough you can momentarily short the motherboard powerswitch connectors and the machine will start.
the front power switch is a momentary switch so only short the motherboard pins long enough for the machine to start.

Slider Prob

Dang, what a weird design. The lens needs to go threw a cycle before it can reach the idle position where it waits for a comand from the user. If its in the closed position and you turn it on it extends to its full range then stops at the idle position. It sounds like it is stuck in some spot between close and idle. Since it cant reach the closed position or idle its shutting down. The only way to get it to work is to try and free the lens so it can cycle threw. There must be a lip on the slider and the lens is stuck on this lip so you cant slide it. Remove the batteries then try and slide the door open try and slide somthing between the lens and the door to free it up. This is the only way to get it threw the cycle. It may need to be serviced It sounds like the switch for the slider door is warn or has broken. It may work again if you can free the lens.
