Is it idling alright? It sounds like you need to adjust your jets. Try turning them all the way in until they seat lightly, then come back out with them 1.5- 2 turns, that is usually a good starting point, then you can adjust and tweak from there until you get it where you want it.

There are a couple other things it could be also. Make sure you are using fresh gas, dump any stale gas out of the tank. Check your air cleaner. There could be a water bubble in the carb from sitting, another reason to put fresh gas in. If you are using e-10 gas, (the gas a lot of stations have now that has 10% ethanol mixed in) it is much more prone to water in the gas. Try spraying your carb with some cleaner.

Casa Vieja ceiling fan w/remote; worked well. Then wall switch was turned on/off, chains pulled. Everything working: fan high, med and low, and light on/off/dim - except now fan won't turn off !

The chain pulling and switch flipping causes the simple logic in the remote receiver to become confused. Your only hope for restoring normal operation (short of replacement) is to disconnect power at the source, then remove remote battery and press all buttons to eliminate "stuck button" problem. Reconnect power and test operation using only the remote. If normal, you will have to decide whether to disable pull chains, wall switches, or both. If not normal, you will have to try an infinite number of combinations of pull chains, wall switches, and power on-off to get things back to normal.

How do you fix a jammed trigger on the Ryobi 10 Amp Electric Power head

Not really a fix but it worked for me. I opened up the case. Their is a little black box with a red button that must be depressed. Pulling up on the trigger pushes the button. Their is what i call a counter press above the trigger. By pressing it, it makes room for the trigger to slide up and press the red button. There isn't much you can do improve this process. But i took the two springs off the trigger and depressed them trying to shorten them thus reducing the force needed to press. The counter press in spring load. I carefully stretch it by pulling on the end directly above the trigger(not against the frame). This took some pressure off the counter press. I finally took a small file and carefully filed down the edge of the counter press where the trigger presses against. This makes it slide upward easier even if the counter press isn't pressed down fully when you squeeze it. The trick is pressing the counter press first, but doing these things has made my trigger a lot smoother. It use to be a hard press to activate, but now it is 10 times better than it use to be. Good Luck!!

Most electric machines will have a micro switch connected to the chain brake, grab the hand guard and pull it fully back the the top handle, you should hear a click as the brake lpcks, now try again.

The chainbrake should be activated when starting the chain saw. Activate the chain brakeby pushing the front hand guard forwards.b>Cold engine Start position, 1: Set the start/stop switch in the choke position by pulling thered control outward - upward.Decompression valve: Press the valve to reduce the pressure in the cylinder and makestarting easier. Once the machine has started the valve will automaticallyreturn to its original setting.Air purge: Press the air purge diaphragm repeatedly until fuel fills thediaphragm (at least 6 times). The diaphragm need not be completely filled.Grip the front handle with yourleft hand. Hold the chain saw on the ground by placing your right foot throughthe rear handle.Pull the starter handle, 4: Pull the starter handle with your right hand and pull out thestarter cord slowly until you feel a resistance (as the starter pawls engage)then pull firmly and rapidly until the engine fires.Push down the red choke control: As soon as the engine fires which can be heard through a"puff" sound, push down on the red choke control.Pull the starter handle (6): Keep on pulling the cord powerfully until the engine starts.

I have a Makita DCS640120 Commercial Grade 20Inch 64cc and when i turn it on the chain automatically moves how do i fix it to where it will idle till i press the trigger?

Turn the idle speed screw CCW till the chain stops turning at idle, but the engine continues to run. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Remove the chain cover, bar, and chain. Spin the outer drum of the clutch to check the bearing which lies between the drum and internal components. If it doesn't spin freely, try oiling the drum bearing area and work it into the bearing. If no help, plan on replacing the clutch mechanism. Hope some of this helps!

How do I start rental model 96.

The drill is to pump the primer button about 6 times, set the compression release (if equipped), and close the choke. Turn on the ignition switch and preset the throttle fast idle by pressing a button near the throttle trigger while holding the throttle open then release the throttle while holding the button in. These last two parts are done automatically by the choke mechanism in late model saws. Pull the engine through rapidly until it fires (usually within several pulls). If all this fails, take the machine back and have them demonstrate the start. Hope this helps!
