Speakers cutting out

I have a 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. My speakers tend to turn off. The radio is still on, but no sound. If I move the rocker swith that switches from head set to external speakers they come back on for a short time and then cut out again. Any ideas?

What are the factory stereo specs for a 2007 electra glide classic?

Radio is a 4 channel 22 watts per channel 2 ohm stable unit. There are no pre-amp outputs, so be sure whatever amp you're using accepts high level inputs, or have pre-amps installed by Iron Cross Audio. When adding the amp, be sure the speakers used are impedance matched to the amp, not the radio.

Mine was doing the same thing. Make sure your CB radio is turned off. If it picks up a signal it cuts the speakers out.

It may be your plugs and or wires. Make sure your plugs are the resistance type and the plug wires are shielded.
