Question about HP Officejet 4215v All-in-One Printer
First, make sure you have the full-featured software installed (for older OS versions) - see here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=351112&
Second - how is the printer connected to the computer? If you are using a USB cable, try a new USB cable and try connecting to a different port. If you have a USB hub or print server connected between the printer and the computer, try a direct connection. Scanners require bi-directional communication and are more sensitive to data loss issues than the basic printer features.
