Question about Roper RAX4232KQ Top Load Washer
This problem is commonly attributed to either a water inlet valve that doesn't shut off, or a pressure switch malfunction. The following links explain how to diagnose the problem and repair as necessary:
The easiest and most common cause of this problem is the small plastic air hose on the pressure switch coming loose. It can usually be fixed by simply reattaching the hose. However, read through all the information provided and double check everything to make sure.

On this model of washer you have 4 separate components that could cause overflowing. The water valve, pressure switch, pressure switch hose & the air dome. If you have to turn the water off to prevent overflowing, I would recommend replacing the water valve. If you can turn the timer off & the water stops overflowing, I would recommend checking the pressure switch, hose & air dome.
