Question about Lexmark X3350 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I am trying to get my printer to work. All drivers etc. downloaded. When I try to print, I get a message "Communication Not Available." Printeris unable to communicate with computer. I've checked all the connections, restarted, etc., but no luck. I've been using this printer for a couple years without any problems.
Are you using the wireless network printer function or is the printer connected by a USB cable? If you are using the wireless network, launch the printer's Wireless Setup Utility and run through it. (Check for problems with IP, signal strength etc.)
For USB, try resetting the printer (unplug it from the wall for 10 seconds). Check that the computer is looking for the printer on the correct port. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel. Double click on the Printers folder and right click on your Lexmark printer. Choose Properties then click on the Ports tab. Check that one of the USB port options is checked. (If you have a newer OS, Start > Devices and Printers and then right click on the printer.) Also try a new USB cable and a different USB port. If you have a print server or USB hub, try a direct connection.
