Door Clicking Sound

Hi,
I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and everytime I open the door I get a loud clicking sound....actually it's one click then sometimes another click as the door opens completely. A mechanic said it was the "striker".

Also do you know if you can download a maintenance manual online without a fee.

Hi, click on the "Start Button," in the (right pane) Control Panel, next in the category listings, select Hardware and Sound, open, and click on the "Manage Sound Devices." In the next window there will be (4) four buttons "General, Level... First click on the "General" button, in the top of the window there will be a "Driver" button, click on that button to open. Select to "Update Driver," just click on it, the Drivers will be updated for you. Next you can go back and press the other areas, Speaker Level etc... Next if you have a "MIC" do the same for the Microphone as you done for (Speakers) in the [Recording] category. My microphone isn't working. I've checked the control panel, and I have the microphone not muted and set at medium level. This happens a lot, and I can never remember what it is I am doing wrong.

Hi ,
Test the record function on the notebook PC
  1. Click Start , then Programs , Accessories , Entertainment , and then Sound Recorder .
  2. Click Record (the red dot) and speak into the microphone.
  3. When you are finished recording, click Stop (the gray rectangle).
  4. To play back the recording, click Play (the gray arrow pointing to the right).
  5. If the recording does not play back, continue to the next section of this document.

Step 2: Checking microphone settings
  1. Click Start , then Programs , Accessories , Entertainment , and then Volume Control .A Volume Control or Master Volume window opens.
  2. Click Options , and then Properties .
  3. Select Recording , and make sure Microphone is selected.
  4. Click OK . The Volume Control window should change to a Recording Gain Control window.
  5. Click Options again and then click Advanced Controls . If Advanced Controls is unavailable, then an alternate microphone is not available. Proceed to the next series of steps.
  6. Remove the check next to Alternate microphone , click Close , and test the microphone. If there is still no sound, continue to the next step.
Step 3: Ensuring the correct recording device is selected
  1. Access sound properties:
    • In Windows XP, to access the sound control panel applet, click Start , then Control Panel . Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices , and then click Sounds and Audio Devices .
    • In Windows 95, 98, and Me, click Start , Settings , and Control Panel . Double-click Sounds and Multimedia , or Multimedia . The Sounds and Multimedia Properties window opens.
  2. Click the Audio tab.
  3. Under Sound Playback , select the audio device that is installed on the computer (there should be only one).
  4. Under Sound Recording , select the audio device that is installed on the computer. It should be the same as the listing under Sound Playback .
  5. Click OK .
  6. Close the Sound and Multimedia Properties window and test the recording. If there is still no sound, continue to the next step.
Kindly send me you valuable Feedback.

Itunes 8 won't open up

It is recommended to disable the anti-virus during the download. Simply because there are so many different anti-virus software versions available and they can (and sometimes have) caused iTunes to not download correctly if at all.
Your OS is your Operating System. IE: windows xp 2002 If you do not know what service pack you are running you can check it by opening your start menu and right clicking on My Computer. When the drop down appears, click on Properties. Here you will see
System:
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 (SERVICE PACK SHOULD BE LISTED HERE)
if its not service pack three then you need to update your operating system.
You can do that by clicking on the Automatic Updates tab. Make sure that Turn off Automatic Updates is NOT selected. I prefer the middle option of letting me pick which updates to install or not install personally.
I would do the check on your OS before uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes for sure though. Let me know how it goes :)

Can't hear recordings

Try double clicking on the volume control in the system tray.

In the box that comes up, see if the wave control is off, or set low.

Move the slider up, you should get sound.

No sound on my computer.

A good idea is to check one of two things:
1) upon startup check the BIOS, it gives you an idea of what soundcard you are using.
2) open up the box and check the motherboard and do a google search.

Popular hardware with emachines are ATI and Realtek

Cannot get sound or colour to work

Sound:

I had exactly the same problem and solved it by updating the drivers for the USB sound/audio device.

My XP version is in Swedish so I´m not sure what it says in English, but it should say something like the following.

Go to the "Device manager" by right clicking on "This computer" and choosing "Properties", locate the "USB sound/audio device" under the "Sound, Video and Game"-category and right click and chose "Update drivers". Then chose "Search for drivers on the internet" and chose "Recommended installation".
My new drivers are called "USB EMP Audio Device". They work perfectly. Of course you have to chose these drivers under "Options/Input source".

I wasn´t able to update the actual EasyCap video adapter, but it doesn´t seem to matter if you´re having problems with the sound.

Video:

Click on "File", then "Preferences" then "Capture" flap, check the "Allow access to capture device´s settings" box, click "OK". Go the the "Capture" flap in the main window and chose "Capture video". Now you should see "Options", click and chose "Capture properties", then "Video capture filter", click "Properties" in the same window and the chose the correct "Videostandard", for example "NTSC" for USA and "PAL" for Europe. Try all of the alternatives until you get a picture.

Make sure you have chosen the right input source under "Options (see above/Input source". Chose Composite or S-video (you´re likely using composite). I can´t use an S-videocable, only a videocable, otherwise the picture turns black and white.

Now you should see something, if not, maybe something went wrong when you installed the drivers/software.

Hope this helps!
