Change element in a samung dv665j

Usually, one takes the rear cover off revealing the element area. I doubt if the heating element is burned out. Typically the small thermostat or thermal fuse link blows before the heating element goes. You would have to see the diagram of your model online. Most sites have the exploded parts view of that section online. If you don't have a meter tester you may have to replace all 3. Some models have them all tied into 1 board. My heating element needs to be replaced where can i get the part n what part is it my dryer model is dv219aew/xaa

If you will type "sears parts" into your computer, you will find a space for you to type in your model number.
Yours is a Samsung dryer, and there is a picture of the heating element for you.
Once you get that number off that picture, you can shop for your part at many other places, including "e-bay".
Be blessed.

I think your heating element is burned out. You can find parts at

If you remove the element (unplug it first of course) you will be able to tell if it is burned out by looking at the actual heating coils. If there are any breaks in the wire anywhere you know its the problem.

Good luck

I have a kenmore Ellite Dryer that works but is not heating.

Is this a gas or electirc dryer?
If it's an electrical dryer it's probably the heating element.
Pull the dryer out, remove the back panel and look to see if the heating element is heating up (turns red). If not it's the heating element which is pretty easy to change.
Call an appliance parts store with the make and model number before you pull it out to make sure one's available and always take the old one with you to verify it's the same.
Hope this was helpful.
Good Luck!
