I would like an unlock code for two vcr/dvd combos. Can you help?

If you need a region free code, here it is:

Make sure you have no disc or tape in
Turn it on.
When the display shows "no disc"…...

1. Press the DVD button on the REMOTE CONTROL so the Samsung DigitALL logo appears on the screen

2. Press the SUBTITLE button on the REMOTE CONTROL

3. Using the REMOTE CONTROL enter the code: 7, 6, 8, 8, 4

4. The current region should be displayed on the screen. (eg "04") If this doesn't happen then turn off
and then on and try again

5. Press the 9 button on REMOTE CONTROL for Region free or new region number

6. Press the Open button on PLAYER
7. Press the Close Tray button on PLAYER.
8. Power the unit off, then power the unit on again

Error code HO2 appears after inserting dvd panosonic NV-VP30EB

Hi,

To my knowledge, most H02 errors on a Panasonic DVD player would indicate a spindle error, that is the central motor that spins the disc. Normally, this would require an in-shop repair as electronics is involved, however, you could still try:
  • close the tray with no disc inside;
  • press on the back skip, pause, and play buttons simultaneously and hold for about 4 seconds;
  • when the screen blanks and then "initializing" appears, release the buttons.
Alternately, you can try:
  • remove the top cover;
  • clean the spindle motor with compressed air;
  • manually turn the spindle counter clockwise and then clockwise numerous times to exercise the motor;
  • power on the player, insert a disc and manually assist the disc to start turning.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Region code for Samsung DVD-V6700

1. Make sure there is no DVD in the drive. The player must be empty. Turn on the player, (the Samsung logo appears)
2. Press the SUBTITLE button on your remote
3. With your remote enter the code: 76884
4. The current region is displayed on the top left corner of the screen. (e.g. 4)
5. Press 9 on your remote (Region free)
6. Again press the SUBTITLE button on your remote
7. Enjoy the Region free player

If your player is NOT Region 4 by default then you will need to Substitute the Numbers in Step 3 with the ones Below.

Region codes:
RC 1: 2, 9, 3, 3, 4
RC 2: 3, 8, 7, 6, 7 (or 5, 7, 5, 3, 8 )
RC 3: 5, 6, 7, 3, 2
RC 4: 7, 6, 8, 8, 4
RC 5: 5, 3, 8, 1, 4
RC 6: 2, 4, 4, 6, 2

For Example if your Player was Purchased in the USA ( Which is Region 1) then Step 3 would read :-

3. With your remote enter the code: 29334

Akai DVD recorder tray will not open

I am pursuing the exact problem above. I have found a not so hi tech solution. I firmly rap on the top above the disc drawer. This is while Close is being displayed and the drawer is in. If you hear some spinning and load displays it should now work. It may be back to cycling again on the next ejection though.
Technically I figure it may be a sticky magnetic reed switch or what ever they use to detect the drawer position. Mine displays either open or close when it starts to cycle.
