Hi.
Try to uninstall and reinstall the touchpad driver.
If you like, you can look for its driver in https://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TCCHomePage?langId=-1&storeId=15001&catalogId=13401
Tell me how will this go.

    Cf-29 replace mouse pad

Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 series of Notebook PC's, Service Manual,

    http://www.tim.id.au/blog/tims-laptop-service-manuals/#toc-panasonic

Go to the line that starts with CF-29N3LGZBM, and CF-29NTQGZBM

For the CF-29N3LGZBM the disassembly starts on Page 19, and for the CF-29NTQGZBM.
I don't see the difference, but perhaps you will between the two.

    To me a CF-29 is a CF-29

You disassemble from the Bottom up. Remove Base Enclosure,

    (No narration, just 'elevator' music)

    Remove Mousepad,

    A) Remove ALL power. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery

    B) USE an ESD wrist strap, and have it's alligator clip attached to a good ground source.
    (Electro Static Discharge)

Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components inside a computer.
Wear an ESD wrist strap, and your laptop is safe from Static.
    (From you)

Don't wear one, and use your laptop for an expensive paperweight.
Average cost is $3 to $6. This is but one example,

    http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103245

I connect to an unpainted surface, of an empty open desktop computer case. (I don't feel an Anti-Static Mat is warranted, and can explain)

You can set a large metal serving tray (Unpainted), on the table you're working on, and connect to it.
Or perhaps a large metal knickknack. (Unpainted)

You can't discharge Static by touching the metal frame, of the laptop.
Doesn't work that way. (ZZZZZzzzzap! Goodbye computer )

    C) Use a multi-compartment container for the various screws you will remove.
Label each compartment for the area the screw/s come out of.
SOME screws look VERY similar to other screws!
Advise do NOT mix them up.

    D) Take photos, or use a video cam; if available. Use good lighting.
Make notes, and/or drawings if you wish.

It's nice to have a Personal record, as well as a Service Manual, and pictorial information.
It's nicer to have YOUR method YOU used, along with the above.

    Jus sayin'.

    No.1 Philips screwdriver

Put everything back just LIKE it came out. Don't pinch any cables.

Wow! Sellin' kinda cheap! Looking for parts I ran into this.
Not advertising. Besides, it isn't allowed on here anyway, lol!

On my CF-51 the touchpad is erratic and occasionally the screen cursor will jump. The OS is Windows XP. Everything else works perfectly.

I had similar issues with cursor jumping even while using a mouse.

Very simple & quick fix is to simply "disable" touch pad through "start up" mode use a mouse.
You have to disable in start up menu or pad will re-enable itself next time you boot.

I never liked a mouse before being forced to use it .... now it's not so bad.

How do i scroll up and down on a panasonic toughbook cf-t2

The verticle scroll can be done in two ways. Using the mouse to point over the scroll bar. Left click and hold the left mouse button and drag your finger up or down across the touch pad. The second way is to trace a circle around the outside of the touch pad.

I hope this information was helpful. Let me know if you need any further clarification.

I have attached a link to the panasonic manual download page for your toughbook. You can download the operating instructions booklet to see more information about your toughbook.

Did you check in the control panel>mouse>scheme? Scroll down and you will see several inverted settings. Have you tried changing the scheme settings, and after the change revert back to the normal scheme to see if you can get it to work?

Have you tried hooking up an external monitor? If you hook it up and see video on that it's a screen issue. If you hook it up and it does the same white thing it's bad video on the motherboard.

How do you highlight with a touchpad

With most touchpads you hold down the left mouse button to select then move the cursor with the other hand by pressing a finger on the touchpad and dragging it. Be sure your touch pad is not disabled - usually a button near it with an indicator LED.

Your touch pad drivers need to be installed. Power off the laptop. Install an external mouse, power back on and install drivers. When finished, power down, remove the external mouse and reboot.
