This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Frige icing up every 1 or 2 days roper

Hi, more then likely it would be the defrost timer that is causing you're problem. On some models they are located at that back bottom corner, mounted with a couple of screws. If you can't locate it, look at the schematic on the back and look for DFT and locate it from there. This will be the problem. Defrost timer failing.
Best of Luck,

My Roper model #RT18AKXKQ05 is leaking water into the refrigerator from the freezer via the part in the back of the freezer. I can't find any help in the Use and Care Guide? What do I need to do in order...

it sounds to me like the drain is plugged in the freezer. When the freezer goes into defrost the water vapor gets pulled up by the fan and blows into the fresh food side via the air baffle in the back of the fresh food side. Take the back cover off the freezer and break up the ice and pour some hot water down the drain and if you have a small hose to shove down the drain and that will help you out as well...good luck!!!!

Not draining

Most likely a clogged drain tube. Blow it out with compressed air. This needs to be done preiodically since dust tends to clog these tubes.
