Question about Jenn-Air JDR8895AAS Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Why does the range give us a caution that the range has been setup for propane.

This is very confusing. There is a little bag on our brand new range that says Caution Gas Burner assembly and valve have been converted for use with propane gas. I would think factory default would be setup for gas. (Jenn-Air Dual-Fuel Double Oven Range use and care Guide for 8113p635-60 is the name of our manual)

Stove comes from the factory set for natural gas, be sure your not reading a sticker that would affix to the range after you convert it

HOW TO CONVERT IT TO GAS PROPANE?

Your propane supplier can re-jet your stove to accomodate propane. Give them a call ... they will probably do it for little or no charge.

Good morning. No parts promblem but needs parts

I have one supplier and possibly another. Until you talk with them I am not sure about the price. Click Here=> AmericanHVACparts.com I don't think too many people like to sell the conversion kits because it requires a little knowledge and a lot of know how and caution. Call them if you have a problem there please let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze

Top burners are propane. we are used to propane heating really fast. this stove seems really slow. 5minutes to boil litre of water. burners are having hard time lighting.

If it is new fromt the factory, you many have the natural gas (methane) jets in the burners. You will need to check your bag of parts to find the propane parts (LP parts). LP jets allow a different fuel/air mixture to burn at the right heat. Check the owner's manual for details how to make the change.

Please rate me - Good luck.

I have no a little gas getting thru to the burner and then it quits. The pilot works fine. Any thoughts? I have a full tank of propane and the valve is on at the back of the range. I thought it may be bad...

I purchased a new natural gas range a couple years ago for our cabin. I need this range to use propane.can this oven be changed to use propane instead of natural gas?

should be able to change orifices to propane. some ranges offer these on the back of the stove or you can buy them at a local parts dealer. take your model # with u when you research a part

Low flame on burners

Check the following items:

The propane regulator - and make sure the valve on the propane cylinder is all the way open
The fuel jets (the holes at the end where the propane comes out, usually brass)
The manifolds - they can become obstructed with insect nests
The gas burner valves
The burners themselves, again for obstructions

Propane coversion of kenmore 790 gas range

Most gas stoves are shipped for natural gas .You need to check the orifice on each burner to see if they are for natural gas or propane. If you ordered propane the stove should have been shipped with the orifices. They may be in a bag with your stove documents.
