My Samsung LNT3253H is making a high-pitched noise after it's been on
for a while. The TV is only a month old. I have it in an entertainment
center and am wondering if it is getting too hot, causing the
high-pitched noise. Is that the possible cause? Any others? Thanks.

I had the same issue. The tech that came out today removed the transformer on the power supply board, "resealed" it, and replaced it (re-soldered the same part back on) -- the transformer apparently vibrates because it was not properly sealed. BTW, mine was about the fifteenth that he has performed this repair on within the past couple of months -- all 32" and 26" Samsungs. Now, it appears to be absolutely silent.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire refrigerator is making high pitched noises after the door has been opened. With our current refrigerators the new modern, high-efficiency compressors operate much faster than older models. The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. If you feel that further assistance is needed please contact your manufacturer for any warranty coverage. -Matt

Its so high pitched that some people can barely hear it, but I guess I have sensitive hearing. ... Anyway, this seems to be a fairly common issue and it is caused by either the ... You're probably hearing a transformer humming.
Dec 30, 2008 - In my case, the monitor was fine for the first two months. But then started making a buzzing noise... 1) when on, 2) worse when .... my Samsung TV ismaking high pitched noises even if its turned off. I will NEVER EVER EVER ...
I have had the same high pitch tone problem for several months after about 20 minutes of use. It is so bad it's rendered the TV almost unwatchable. I contacted a repair place from Samsung's website. I was told that is likely the flyback transformer. I don't know what it is, but it sounds cool like a flux capacitator. I was told it would be about $100 to fix. However, I have had very little luck getting the repair shop to order the part and do the work.
How deep do you want to get into this?It sounds like the wash pump motor bearings that are worn. You can pull the unit out flip it over and wd40 the bearings in the motor or you can replace the bearings.Try to lube them first.
Hello there, You have to specify where the noise is coming from. Is it coming from the speaker or from the back of the unit. SMPS power supply powering your unit create this kind of noise when some capacitor gone out of their value.
The high pitch sound could have been the flyback transformer. check the horzontal output transsitor if is gone the tranfomer is sure to be gone . Tranformers are varying in price are the transistors can also vary you could be looking at around 150.00 plus labour.
I think its the flyback and its starting to leak. this is a component responsible for the high voltage of your tv set. always observe safety in dealing with this. Have it check by a qualified technician. Good luck!
