Question about Whirlpool 24 in. DU1100XTP Built-in Dishwasher

Jet Dry refill too often

My dishwasher's Jet Dry meter asks for the solution nearly every 5-7 days. I used to go every 4-5 weeks before it requested more. My dishwasher is only about a year old.

Had the same problem, opened up the dishwasher, pulled out the jet dry container and found some kind of nasty growth in it. I honestly have no idea what it is, so of course I took a picture, and then threw the whole thing away._1813.jpg

I have a BOSCH model 53L06UC dishwasher and was

every bosch dishwasher unit is different. you can get odor from different source. #1 solution to fight odor is the proper maintenance. every month run the cycle with just a cup of vinegar on a hot wash. i am a old bosch tech and alot of people dont add the jet dry properly. this is for drying, spots and-cleaning you must add the jet dry or rinse agent (same thing)into the compartment. close compartment, then lower and raise door 3 times, then fill again repeat until you cant add anymore then it is filled.if this help please send me a 4 thumbs up post. thanks

Can I take the bottom part of the dishwaher apart

Mkae sure you are running kitchen hot water faucet before starting dish washer. If not you are getting mostly a cold water wash thru out the cycle. Also make sure the jet dry dispenser is full. Always use the liquid jet dry as the small cubes you can get do not work nearly as well.

My glasses look cloudy. I have used Tang and it

This sounds like mineral deposits. If you don't have one you could have a water softner installed, if you have one already I'd check its salt level or for proper operation. One question to ask yourself is how well do others soaps and such foam up, if little you have hard water. In my opinion Jet Dry and such may assist some but in the end do not remove all of hard water issues. You may have to take your glasses out of the dishwasher beflore the drying cycle and hand dry. In speaking for my household my wife will not allow some of her better glasses into the dishwasher because of this very reason. All of those are hand washed and dried.... we even have a water softnter too.
I hope this might have helped,
Tom

Where do I put the Jet Dry in my Bosch Sensotronic? I bought a house with this dishwasher but no manual. Many thanks!

ON SOAP CUP WITH DOOR OPEN LEFT HAND SIDE IT WILL HAVE A DOOR IT OPENS LIKE A TUPPER WARE BOWL FRONT TO BACK LEFT HAND SIDE OF SOAP CUP LIFT UP AND SLOWLY POUR 3 OZ OF JET DRY OVER DIAL INDICATOR MAKE SURE YOU POUR SLOWLY MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE THE DOOR CLOSE D/W AND REOPEN DOOR THIS BURPS THE DISPENSER. JET DRY IS NOT SOLUBLE IN WARM WATER SO IF YOU SPILL ANY TAKE A RAG AND CLEAN IT UP GOOD ONEC A MONTH YOU REFILL W/ 2 TO 3 OZ

Beaumark jet dry dispenser

Hi puretonedoug,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: Beaumark Whisper Wash IV dishwasher jet dry dispenser does not appear to be working ( not using any jet dry) do they plug up or malfunction, if so how do you get it to repair or unplug?

The liquid jet dry dispencer only dispences a few drops in the last rinse. It is not uncommon for it to go a few months before needing refilling so it may not "appear" to be working. Are there spots on your glasses? That's the real test. If there are then just buy the jet dry that comes in a little basket that you hang from the top rack. Replace when it's empty and forget about the auto dispencer. If the glasses are clear then it's working and don't do anything..

Are you using a rinse aid like Jet Dry??  All dishwasher manufacturers now require that you use rinse aid for drying dishes at the end of the cycle.
