Whirlpool dishwasher GU980 model

Have Whirlpool dishwasher, Gold series with the touch panel. It stops part way through the wash & rinse cycles with the normal led swithc panel blinking...open ing doors seem to let it continue...but sometime never stop running ......is it the touch panel that is bad normal switch stuck on or electroninc control module
ran the diagnostics cyclce.....but doesn't indicate anything. Model GU980SGC
