OK, my friend has an Epson Stylus 60 ink jet printer. We did the basic cleaning, making sure no debris, good paper, and cleaned the print heads on the printer itself. I ran some utilities to find, it goes "through the motions" but, no out put. Shook the "brand new" ink cartridges, removed the yellow tape, made sure color and black ink came out the other end. Still no output.
Has anyone else had these issues? If all else fails, I'll go by a Lexmark. I believe the printer is "WAY OUT" of warranty, and the "out of warranty" support are closed on Half of Saturday.
The printer is in "READY" position, but when I want to make a test page, or clean the nozzle heads, or align the cartridges, or check the print heads. There is "nothing" that prints out. I'll keep playing with it, till I get fed up, or ready to put it the firing squad! LOL
Re: Uh... New Cartridge, Cleaned Heads... No Print?
It sounds like you are still blocked up. If you have already ran nozzel clean 4 or 5 times I would try soaking the ink cartridges where the ink is discharged. If you go to www.inkmizer.com you can pick up a good, safe, solution just for this problem. They also send you very good instructions. I would be very, very, very careful about getting anywhere near the printing heads especially with liquids. This is an easy way to totally waste your printer.
Good luck, Davecapt

You can clean the heads with software function. Open epson print center maintenance clean head. Or Right click on printer icon on task bar, Select clean head.
Even though the Miro cartridge is compatible the ink color, texture, drying time, is different. Resulting in colors coming out wrong. Try going to Miro jets site & download printer driver or color correction file for your printer. Most provide them.
Please follow the procedure your printer has which forces it printer to clean the print heads.
I have experience of other epson stylus models. I have previously spoken to epson about this exact problem. Repeating the head cleaning process a minimum 5 times cleared the problem.
Running head clean multiple times in succession builds up pressure in the print heads - causing (usually new) cartridges to work correctly.
# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel. # Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right). # Continue doing this until it looks clean. # Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing. # Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.
1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier. 2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.
# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.
Some of Epson's cartridges went bad that way. It may be a bad cartridge. Get a new one, pull that one out and see what happens. If it works, call Epson for a refund. They had a class action suit for that type of thing, they lost and paid off. I would think they will help you right away.
You can use the "Clean Print Heads" function if your printer allows and provides such an option.
You can find this option via the printer proprties (Start > Printers and Faxes, right click your printer and select Properties. The clean options will usually be on the Maintenance tab)
