Theres a thermal sensor near the lamp housing. other than that I am not aware of any other thermal fuses. There are however pico fuses solder to the circuit traces themselves on the back side of the circuit board where the runners are.

Where is the fuse for a Boston TVee Model 20?

Same thing here, I'm afraid, my Boston TeeVee 20 sub randomly goes on and off. I've taken it apart and to see if it might be the fuse and unfortunately the fuse isn't a standard unit, rather it's a "built in thermal fuse", see picture. This isn't going to be easily switchable, and in any case I'm not convinced the fuse is the problem as the sub sometimes does come on--sounds more like a wiring issue to me. Shame as now that I've got this opened up it's clearly a well-made device, other than the issue we're running into. 11_3_2012_5_50_45_pm.jpg

Nothing will start and no lights are on and water won't drain from bottom on dishwasher.

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I understand by reading your post which indicates it is a Whirlpool
dishwasher model #DU1055XTPS you appear to have a concern with no lights/power to the control, correct ?

The one thing I'd suggest is the thermal fuse, typically the symptom you've described is associated with a bad thermal fuse. (part #
W10258275).

Here's a helpful link below to a video from "repairclinic.com" to assist in changing (or simply checking it as shown in the second link) the fuse kit...it generalizes on most Whirlpool built dishwasher's such as yours, but if slightly different it is essentially the same.

Admiral dryer LNC7764A71 stopped running tryin to figure out how to take it apart to see if its the belt or motor. We are beginners at trying to fix things. I thought I had left the oven on when I noticed...

The front comes off. There are clips on the bottom and flat pegs on the top of the panel. Take a putty knife and slide it between the top and front. Pry down and the top of the panel will pull out. Make sure you don't pull wires loose from door switch when you get it un-clipped. Once you are into the unit, you will most likely find that the thermal fuse is blown. If so you will also need to replace the cycling thermostat. When it goes bad, it puts the thermal fuse out. What you smelt was the dryer getting to hot because the thermostat went bad so it by passed the thermostat and got so hot that the thermal fuse was blown. This is the way the unit is designed to work when the thermostat goes bad. The thermal fuse is a safety.

Apple monitor 20"

i’ve been repairing lcd monitor for awhile If you can or know someone that can take the monitor apart. check the power supply for caps that are bubbled there are bad. If you know how replace if not and know someone that does have them replaced. that should fix your problem the inverter circuit may or may not be on that power supply. if the two pair of lamp wires are plugged in then it all in one. replacing the caps work about 80% of the time. i would check and replace.
please let me know if this helps thank you.
