The internal 'thermal' fuse may have blown. This fuse is on the back of the dryer, behind the panel. just to the left side of the vent outlet. It is white with 2 wires going to it.
This fuse trips if there is too much heat around the vent, usually caused by an over heating operating thermostat, which is right next to the thermal fuse and is black with either 2 or 4 wires going to it. The other thing that can cause it too get too hot is a restricted vent system, make sure you have good air flow all the way outside.
The fuse is white about 1/2 inch wide and 1 1/2 inch long.. we think.. not a normal looking fuse. There is one screw holding it on, and you kind of have to slide it up and out.
Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
