Question about Nintendo Wii Console

Wii remotes Every-time i try to hook in my controller at the start up screen the controllers wont hook in to the wii.  Also when i click a button on my wii motes instead of al the lights under the player number section lighting up only player 1 and 2 will light up. This has been happening for the past several weeks and was wonder if my controllers might have a defect and need to buy some new ones or send them in.

The controllers will flash when you push the buttons but the controllers wont hook up to the wii. The controllers will not get connected so my wii keeps getting stuck at the "Press A to continue" screen. I tried to do the manual connection at the back of the wii remote by the batteries but that hasn't worked either.

You need to be a little more specific. What do you mean by they won't hook in?

Follow the directions in the user guide about syncing up the Wiimote with the console, this involves pressing a button on the console IIRC. Also try removing the batteries and putting them in again, and also try unplugging your console from the outlet for thirty seconds and plugging it back in again.

How do I hook my wii to my internet

Hello,

You can hook-up your wii to the internet through any of the below method;

Connect a Nintendo Wii to the Internet through a Wireless Router

* 1 Turn on your Nintendo Wii by plugging it into a power source and pressing the power button.
* 2 Press the "A" button on your Wii controller to continue from the warning screen.
* 3 Select "Wii" button in the left hand corner of the main menu, by using your Wii remote to
move the hand shaped cursor over the "Wii" button and pressing the "A" button on the
controller to select the Wii options.
* 4 Click the "Wii Settings" box on the right.
* 5 Select the left arrow to scroll over to more options. Then select "Internet" from the list and
"Connection Settings."
* 6 Choose an open connection by selecting the "Connection 3: None" option, then the "Wireless
Connection" option, and the "Search for an Access Point Option."
* 7 Choose the access point you want to use from the list that will be displayed. Save the
settings by clicking "OK." Then click "OK" to start a connection test. When the test is
complete you are connected.

Connect a Nintendo Wii to the Internet with a Wii LAN Adapter

* 1 Insert the Wii LAN Adapter into the USB port on the back of the console.
* 2 Connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or router to the adapter.
* 3 Turn on the Wii console.
* 4 Click the "Wii" options button in the lower left hand corner. Select the "Wii Settings" option by
clicking on the left square. Scroll to list more options by clicking on the blue arrow to the left

Connect a Nintendo Wii to the Internet through a PC

* 1 Insert the CD that came with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector into a PC running Windows
XP that is connected to high speed internet. When the setup window appears click "OK" to
start the installation.
* 2 Choose your language and click "OK".
* 3 Insert the connector into a USB port on the PC when prompted. Hook the connector directly
to the PC as ports on the monitor and keyboard will not work.
* 4 Click on the registration tool on the Windows task bar.
* 5 Turn on the Wii console. Click the "Wii" options button in the lower-left corner. Select the "Wii
Settings" option by clicking on the left square. Scroll to list more options by clicking on the
blue arrow to the left of the screen. Choose "Internet" from the list of options.
* 6 Select "Connection Status," then "Connection 3: None" and "Wireless Connection." Choose
"Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector" from the options list, then "Next" to continue.
* 7 Return to your PC and you will find your Wii listed in the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector
Registration Tool window. Click on your Wii's name and select "Grant Permission to

Good luck.

Cant get pass the "press A button" screen

Turn off for a moment, try again, reconnect your controller.

Since its brand new, you can get it replaced if that doesn't work, dont waste your energy on it, just get another one, free replacement / warraty. Im sure.

Our wii controllers are not reading the screen and when they do it wont stop blinking through screens..help please?

Try synchronizing your Wii-mote to your Wii. Open the battery compartment on the remote and the SD card door on the front of your Wii. Press the red SYNC button on your Wii and then on the controller. You know it is synced when a solid LED light is shining at the bottom of the Wii-mote.

My controller wont hook up with the wii

In the battery area of the qii remote and inside the front panel of the wii console, there are connect buttons, push the red button on the console and remote to sync them together

Controllers wont sync

If you have pressed the sync button on wii, then on the wii-mote, and it still didn't sync, try unplugging the Wii console for few minutes and try the process again.
There is another syncing mode, but you have to have at least one wii-mote connected to the wii. You press the home button and the click on the wii-mote on the screen. There will be a reconnect button. Press that and then press both the 1 and 2 buttons on the wii-mote[s] you want to connect. This is the ONE TIME ONLY connect mode, used when playin on a friends Wii. Once the Wii is powered off, the wii-mote wont be connected any longer and will still be the default wii-mote for your wii system [not on your friends]. Hope this helps.

Problems with a Wii game

if you are in the mulitplayer mode and still have trouble adding the remote then try syncing the remote with the wii first by pressing the home button then go into the wii remote settings on the bottom then re-sync each control. Then try going back into mulitplayer mode and try again or while the screen is on when you want to add more players press the '+' button.

Trying to install wii

I love the way this works - if everything is plugged in properly, the remote control will be detected by the sensor and you should see an arrow on the screen that you can move by physically moving the remote. Use this to point the arrow to "English", then click "A", then move it again to "confirm" (...or is it "OK"?).

Discs wont register on wii system, remote wont work either

You need to sync the remote with the console.
Remove the battery cover from the remote and press the red
button until the blue lights start to blink. At the same time,
press the the red button to the front of the console.  You
can access this button by removing a small cover on the front
of the console. This will reset the machine and you should
start to see th cursor in the tv screen. Repeat this if necessary
and you should be on your way. Good luck
